That’s what I remembered and then I had one last week for the first time in over 15 years and don’t agree (unless you’re just comparing supermarket subs). You can get much better subs elsewhere but the Publix subs are a better value.

Disagree. I’ve not had that problem at the one I go to. Perhaps that’s more local to your store.

Regardless, I still shop at Publix for BOGOs and convenience but they are ripping folks off.

BTW, the cheese selection at Aldi is very good. If they have Carr Valley cheese at the store, buy it.

They are loaded with meat. I don’t get subs that often. I just know they are better than subway.

The last PubSub I got was a chicken finger sub. I probably could have made 4 meals out of it.

Yeah, as far as chain subs including grocery stores go, Jersey Mikes smokes Publix. Half the time Publix bread is trash.

That was one place I had in mind and you’re correct about the bread (at least what I had). The problem with Jersey mikes is it’s almost double the cost.

truth is the fed controls the economy much more than any potus ever will. much like the cost of oil, potus has very little to do with it

Publix is always more expensive. Not sure it’s ripping people off they don’t have to shop there.

Yes Publix isn’t a monopoly. You have Aldi and Walmart as real choices.

Yes, they’ve always been a bit more expensive but some of the stuff is way out of line. The other day my husband was in there to get mustard and mayo for a sandwich tray we were bringing to a party. The Publix brand was more than Hellman’s and Guldens.

Again, greedflation is a real thing. Check out the stock buybacks, etc for some big food companies

I get all my canned and frozen goods from Walmart or Aldi. I get a few specialty items from Publix.

I just can’t do Walmart  My Aldi has its own issues, mostly elderly people that don’t want to put a quarter in the cart thing and try to carry everything LOL

Now that I’m retired I shop around a bit more. When we lived in VA Publix was the thing I missed the most (it certainly wasn’t my mother in law) I’m just aggravated with them.

I get it but I get all my stuff delivered from Walmart. I never walk in. I get my kefir from Aldi along with bagels that are bad bagels but make decent toast.
