UF really should induct him into the ROH and turn the page. Dude scored us 2 NCs and a Heisman legend in Tebow. Thank you Urban

In fact, if not for Urban Meyer our team would be looking at a 23 year irrelevance streak since 2001. Think about Tim Tebow in red and white

It does say Ring of Honor and UM is not a great example of that characteristic. But as Skink mentions he engineered unprecedented success in his tenure and snatched Tim Tebow from Alabama’s greedy clutches and what a great representative Tebow has been for us.
He’s not the worst human being on the planet and most of us have done things we are not proud of.

I agree, I just want it to be after he’s really done coaching. Don’t want him coming back to coach against us in a game with his name up there

There are definite differences between Honor and Fame.

I honestly think the administration knows he's eventually getting in to the UF Ring of Honor; they're just biding their time making sure that he's older and less likely to have any more embarrassing moments like he's had in the past. I think after another 5 years or so, when he's no longer being talked about as becoming another big school's HC, and the memory of past indiscretions has somewhat subsided, he'll get in. This of course is MHO.

Like getting a crotch grind in a bar from a woman young enough to be his daughter? That kind of embarrassment? Because I'm glad he wasn't up in the RoH when that happened. I'm overall supportive, but he has shown some behaviors that are cringe-worthy.

as I recall reading TT's 1st book, Nick Shula actually out-recruited Urbs, but Tim thought he was destined/supposed to go to UF, so he signed with us (or something to that effect). He added that Dan Mullen was no help in him signing with us.

My memory of it when he was here was him constantly talking up Mullen.

They could drop the honor part and just have a hall for winners. Get Pete Rose and Barry Bonds to lead it. No honor needed.

Tebow belongs no doubt and should be the standard.

UF does seem to try to take a higher road than some and i like that part. Our credit card kids didnt play , we dont do crab legs, rape, punching chicks or choking teaching assistants. Just have a little class is all i ask.

That’s a very high bar Wanne. But it should be high, just maybe not that high.

You may want to steer clear of the ESPN front page for a few days.

Here’s the difference, UF is actually busy investigating whereas others get busy lifting rugs.

Many of those Wanne pointed out either had video footage or overwhelming evidence with which to act. At this time the ESPN front page is nothing more than leaked allegations. If guilty, UF will act accordingly. Having spent over 30 years in Tally, they’ve done FAR worse than what the media caught wind and published.

Meyer brought us glory years we haven’t seen since SOS - and never before SOS. We would never have been able to celebrate possessing both crystal balls simultaneously - the only university to ever do that. Blowing out OSU in Glendale. Tim Tebow….
Why y’all are so determined to taint our precious glory years escapes me. The only people bashing UF for anything Meyer did, is UF fans. I honestly don’t get the self-flagellation.

I’m not righteous enough to judge the behavior of people, who by definition must possess unique personality characteristics to lead, compete and excel in an environment like college or pro football. Some of y’all need to climb down off the pedestal and just enjoy what our university accomplished in those precious glory years. Imagine if 2005-2010 had gone like the past 6-10 years.

    Thank you Urban

I can celebrate Tim Tebow without admiring urban Meyer in the least bit. Kinda like Barry Bonds or Pete Rose to me.
