Just to be clear if CU gets in they arent in the hunt, they are the piñata consolation prize for the #5 team end of story
as others said, not a great story, except maybe for those with weak minds. How often do you watch your Harry Potter collection ?
My position is that I’m not going to hate a team just to hate them. And the truth is Prime has some former Gators helping him out and he doesn’t even claim FSU anymore. Kinda glad Prime doesn’t or else I’d be very nervous about him winding up in Tallahassee in the next few weeks.
Prime could be a one year wonder at Colorado like Norvellllllll was as FSU. Leverages for a big multi-year contract this year. Don’t think Colorado will be good next year without star QB and WR
Thanks for calling me out (and bringing it to my attention). I went back and edited my original post and admitted that I F'ed by looking at totally different video.
Which, I hope you understand, is exactly why their FPI rankings should never be close. Colorado is still ranked #23 by the AP today. We'll see what happens.
Deion will never be a championship coach. Write that down somewhere and refer back to it as needed. It's not happening. He lost to the only teams with a pulse this season with more talent.
Some people might think that bowl games are meaningless... and to them, maybe that's just their opinion. But I doubt anyone could tell the Gators' football team that their bowl game will be meaningless. These fans do NOT speak for the football teams nor their players. Not all non-playoff bowl games are meaningless. I would be happy if we could put those silly statements to bed. Two more wins, and we end up with a 8-5 record, which is not great... but it's a start to better football. And with our DC that finally figured it out... the future looks bright. Get an OC in the off season and we can get to the playoffs where every bowl game matters... to everyone... fans included.
I just looked it up: Colorado's best win is Baylor, ranked #37 in ESPN FPI. UCF is second best. We have wins vs. 6, 19, and 42. Because I'm pissy, let's look at losses. 22, 28, and 44. Ours: 1, 5, 8, 10, and 15.
Speaking of fpi, don't look now, but the Gators are #25. Kinda weird that the only undefeated team (OR at 11-0) is #7 behind 8-3 Ole Miss. One of those teams will make the playoffs. 2024 College Football Power Index - ESPN
Thanks Davis! Made me look (and look and look) and, guess who is down there after perennial powerhouse football factories like: James Madison South Alabama Marshall Navy Bowling Green Miami of Ohio South Florida Old Dominion Jacksonville State Ohio (Bobcats) Fresno State Yep, still clinging by their fingernails to the Top 100 though . . . at #85:
Just curious: there are a lot of college football teams in America. Why did you choose to slobber all over Deion and Colorado? You might want to consult with Murphree Hall before you answer.
