    Too easy.

So he started out in July of 2021 and has worked at 6 different departments. He spent an average of roughly 8 months per department. I would be willing to bet at least one of those resignations were tendered while he was under internal investigation. The dept either closed the investigation since he left the department, or they finished it and the next dept didn't care he got in troubler or didn't look into his background.

This is the definition of just "going one county over and being a cop again."

Kincaid is 9 miles from Pawnee
Pawnee is 9 miles from Auburn
Virden in 7 miles from Auburn
    Auburn is in Sangamon County
    Sangamon County borders Logan County

But hey, policing isn't broken, right? It's systemic.

This dude, with 2 DUI's, hopped from department to department, and every department hired him. It took the 6th department in 4 years firing him (for shooting an innocent woman in the freakin face) for him to to not be a cop anymore. Pathetic.

And remember, she called the police for help. She wasn't suspected of any crime. She called the police and they murdered her.

Red flags galore, but this is policing in America.

    And again, nailed it.

    Video:

The Illinois sheriff’s deputy charged in the shooting death of Sonya Massey was kicked out of the Army for the first of two drunken driving convictions in which he had a weapon in his car, authorities said, but that didn’t stop multiple law enforcement agencies from giving him a badge.

Grayson, who enlisted in the Army in 2014, was charged with DUI in Macoupin County, just south of Sangamon County, after traffic stops on Aug. 10, 2015, and again on July 26, 2016. The first DUI led to his discharge from the military in February 2016 for “serious misconduct,” according to a U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss personnel information, adding that Grayson had an unregistered gun in his vehicle.

“Some police departments would not have hired someone with one DUI,” Smoot said. “I am shocked an agency would hire someone with two DUIs, but multiple agencies apparently did.”

Before he came to Springfield, Grayson worked for a year as a deputy sheriff in Logan County, just to the northeast. According to a report obtained under a public records request, he was told he needed more training, including “high-stress decision-making classes,” in November 2022 after he failed to follow an order to halt a high-speed pursuit, reaching speeds of 110 mph (177 kph) before colliding with a deer.

The Logan County records also include complaints of misconduct from two people Grayson arrested, including one in which a woman who admitted having drugs in a body cavity claimed Grayson gave her a glove and told her to remove the contraband in front of him and another male officer. She later was taken to a hospital to have it removed and claimed Grayson burst through the curtain during the procedure. He denied both complaints and resigned from Logan County before the investigation was complete.

With DUI-related ejection from Army, deputy who killed Massey should have raised flags, experts say

To be noted, after resigning from Logan County while under internal investigation, according to the graphic posted, Sangamon County hired him 3 days later. That's the department he worked for when he shot that lady in the face, his 6th job with law enforcement in 4 years...

This murderer should’ve never been given a badge. It was only a matter of time before he killed someone.

Small town cops basically have no real standards and are typically low paid, high school diploma and any military service and you’re in. This is why some want a “database” of sorts so people can more easily track when one of these violent clowns moves from one agency to another.

But I’m sure even if there was a database, participation likely couldn’t be made compulsory. And you can bet local PD’s like those in question here would be the least likely to participate. I mean surely the DUI and dishonorable discharge would pop up on a very basic background check, right? This tells me these local police basically don’t even do background checks (either that or don’t care).

You’d think anyone that isn’t a moron wouldn’t want their community to hire a guy with a “pattern of behavior” like that, but like I said good luck getting any type of mandatory bad cops database past “bAcK tHe bLuE”.

I'm pretty sure that Illinois has that. That's where the graphic came from. Any we see how that went...

Just look at the Brady List. Departments have a list of officers who can't be trusted to tell the truth in a court of law, yet have them on the streets with badges and guns making arrests.

Local news does better at rooting out bad cops than the department’s themselves.

One more thing.. I've been wondering about police and DUI's, stemming from this dude getting hired by 6 departments with 2 DUI's on his record.

Yesterday, this video happened to pop up in my suggested videos. In the last 5 years, 290 Georgia cops have been arrested for DUI. Only about 30 had their LEO certifications revoked. The other 260 were still allowed to be cops by POST. Only 18% were terminated by their department.

Tl/dr A cop getting a DUI is not that big of a deal.

What a POS. That was hard to watch.

It makes me wonder why departments hire people like this. It sounds like there were already some concerns.

Gen pop for this guy is what he deserves.

Letter to the Editor: Does anyone care about Sean Grayson’s family or what horrifying reality they are dealing with?

    First to the protesters.
    What are you protesting?
Sean is in jail, charges are filed, trial date to be set and punishment to be applied.
Sean is not going anywhere, so please knock off wearing out your sweat glands.
So please take your signs and go home and just be humans … not the amusement or disgust to the public.
    Point No. 2:
Does anyone care about Sean’s family or what horrifying reality they are dealing with?
What about his fiancé he was to marry in October?
She is an innocent young woman who also is unfairly being persecuted.
Does anyone care about the destruction of her life? She is left to deal with an emotional death.
Sean’s future in-law families. A to-be father in-law who is as close to Sean as a father as can be. A future mother in-law, sister in-law and brother in-law who is Sean’s friend. Future grandparents who loved Sean dearly and still do.
Shock, disbelief and reality but an undying support for Sean.
The past cannot be relived. The future is unknown.
We only have each day to “pray without ceasing.”
The Sean everyone desires to hate and persecute is not the Sean we have all known and love.
    We will always support Sean.
“Judge not … lest ye be judged.”
    No man/woman is without sin.
There is a final judgement for all.
Proud grandmother to be of Sean Grayson.

sorry, if he has been with this guy for more than a month I would be willing to bet that it isn't the first time this guy exhibited behaivor that showed he shouldn't be a cop. if cops quit defending the blue wall they wouldn't have to worry about their partner killing an innocent person. I hope every department this guy was able to "resign" from without a bad referral is held liable too. they helped create this
