This argument is insane, irrational, and honestly...kind of stupid. He made Miss State a good program. He is easily the best coach in their schools history. He has half the talent he would at Florida. He made the second worst program in the SEC behind Vandy completely viable as a strong team. That is all him. It's the same as saying Peterson sucks because he has won a national title..despite him being at less than stellar programs.

How can he win the west when mighty Saban is there? He can't. You are limited in recruiting at Miss State. The fact that his team gave Bama their biggest challenge this year says all you need to know about Dan. Guy is a superb coach at a small program.

Name the last non Power six SEC team to win the SEC. Hint...it's been over 40 years. Getting a number 1 ranking at Miss State is one of the most remarkable things I have seen. Their history says it's almost impossible.

 

I hope we beat FSU and USF beats UCF...

 

To be fair, 10-3 is probably the ceiling for Mississippi State. Especially with how good the West has been during his tenure.

Chip Kelly is apparently with family in Eugene, Oregon, as he should be. He should enjoy the holidays, but while there, he has a decision to make, and both options offer terrific advantages. He is an accomplished man with two well earned opportunities.

It could honestly go either way for us.

I really want him to coach our football team. He seems a terrific fit.

Regardless, we should all be thankful for the school that binds us and all it has given us. Not all the memories are perfect, but those only make the many great ones all the more special.

At this point I would love for Chip to go to PK80 to visit his buddy Phil Knight, who will then sell him on Florida so that his Ducks don’t have to face a dominant UCLA team equipped in Under Armor BS in the P12.

 

Jackson is quite a way from Starkville. A flight going to Mullen would fly into Golden Triangle Airport near Columbus.

 

So then checking the flights over the past day or so from NH or CT to khs may be beneficial.

 

The Mullen convo needs to shift away from what he has done and towards what he is worth. We would need to ask ourselves if he is a $6m/year coach, because that’s probably what it would take to get him. Idk about you guys but I don’t see that being a “good hire.”

 

My sources tell me that Kelly will be announced to UCLA on Saturday, and Mullen to UF on Sunday. This thread will then peter out on Monday, but not before surpassing an epic 1,000 pages.

That is a good question. Wondering if SS has family in the Jackson area that he’s visiting for thanksgiving. Not sure what the rules are for personal use of the UAA aircraft.
