Update: Kelly buzz..."The Thread" Hall of Fame bound.

I've seen the dozens upon dozens of passive aggressive posts from people who are too scared to be honest with their dislike or hatred of people like me because they dont want to get banned. its not hard to crack. Hell some people have said they literally won't post in here because its not a thread full of deluded sunshine pumping. like 100% of the people in here should believe chip is sitting at home in a gator hat passing out his playbook with a gator logo on it already and if we dont believe that were responsible for the downfall of this thread.

 

This social media stuff is kinda cool ain’t it?

Seriously, can we all come down from the ledge until an announcement is made? Haven’t we learned over the last 5-6 days that no one (probably including Chip) knows what’s going on?

Like I said several times... I think Kelly is all Gator and i won't believe any of these other fanatical predictions until I see Kelly walk out on a stage with another school's AD and say in person he's their new head coach.

Fact is, this UCLA rumor stuff has grown into a massive rumor monster thats taken on a life of it's own.

 

The fun part about all this, is it won't be long anymore before we find out who is right and who is wrong. The excuses for not announcing Kelly are going to run out next week. Until now we have managed to hold on to the Kelly dream with things ranging from "vetting kelly" to "vetting his assistants" to "we are worried about Shannon's feelings" to "He will lose 5 mils from the NFL if he is announced before the FSU game".

I really hope we get him. I honestly am not confident with any outcome, in my mind at this point Chip Kelly is a 50/50. Additionally, I strongly doubt Frost will come to UF.

I have to repost because I think it got missed, the coaches rarely (see never) visit the campuses during the coaching search. The brass always goes to them.

Which is why I knew it was BS when Feldman said Chip met with UCLA in LA. He immediately recanted and said it wasn't in LA if it did happen.

 

Ehh, we're used to it.

 

I mean we're just doing the same thing as the guys posting the contrary as if Chip agrees to that.

 

Honestly, if we don't get Kelly I don't don't that proves that our insiders were full of shit. They might have been wrong on a few things here and there in the end (some of which we might never know, e.g. was there a contract with a back out clause)...but they definitely nailed that things were getting hot between Florida and Chip. That was confirmed without a doubt last Sunday.

On the other hand, there were doubters from the beginning claiming that we would never even go after him. So I think Tilly and BenTillGriffin have already shown to be on the right side of this story...even if things swing in a different direction at the last minute.
