I didn't stare, I was taking a gander trying to confirm that I was indeed seeing him. Some eye squinting, cocking my head; my eyes didn't stay on him too long. But I did peer at him on and off after the squirm as I was doing my shopping, and he was incredibly awkward just grocery shopping.

 

I'd take Willie Taggart or Charlie Strong in a second over Lame Kitten.

 

You hit on it. We've really only been "elite" while SOS was here (12 yrs) and 3 years under Meyer. Other than those years not so much. We had 3 good years in the mid 80s but of course 2 of those years we were on probation. How many times have we finished in top 6 other than those years? I don't know but I'm thinking 0.

We are elite no doubt ...but other schools have the resources (facilities, stadium , history, boosters see TAM) to be elite as well

Yeah I’m mainly assuming Taggart says no and I agree Charlie would be a decent hire but it just feels like he wouldn’t enjoy as much enthusiasm.

Though if Strong beats UCF it will definitely prop up the image of the hire. I just think back to Texas and he struggled under the weight of that program and we’re similarly crazy.
