With Miss. State playing tommorrow, thus opening up Mullen to interview - you have to think UF is going to press for a Yes/No answer in the next 24 hours. Then the next wave of candidates comes Saturday.

Me thinks this is going to be resolved good or bad very soon.

 

If you substitute UF for UCLA in that article, this board would be dancing and singing "We are the Boys"

 

Be rumored to have hired Chip Kelly, apparently. I mean, if people are seriously deluding themselves and thinking that UCLA is an elite football school, there can’t be any other legitimate reason.

 

And let's not even get started on Clemson or Auburn being considered "elite" programs.(I know what your point is, but I can't miss an opportunity to dog Clemson)

How I feel trying to figure out what to believe... Chip to UF or Chip to UCLA...

 

The one problem I have about believing Kelly is coming is I don't know if he's ever even been to Gainesville. Would he take the job sight unseen?

 

Tomorrow: Sources say Chip Kelly asked if UCLA could deep fry the turkey.

 

The problem is you got no proof...I dont need it...but others do to calm them down.

So uhhhh... just got done with thanksgiving drive to the in laws and I see we are in full meltdown plus forecast was downgraded slightly. Care to catch a fellow Gator up on what’s sent us into a spiral?

I’d be stunned if Mullen was even on the long list, let alone the short list of candidates

 

Hope so Skink, but being the stud that you are you kind of got to think about the possibilities.I guess I’m ok with Chip although there are things that bother me . And I know I’ve told you that before. I know he is the home run hire we are looking for. But I guess I am saying if things are going to go against us and plan B is not there .. ??well you can’t put one thumb in your ass and the other in your mouth and spin around like a top.Im sure SS is prepared. He wouldn’t be the Florida AD if wasn’t.

 

At this point UCLA has better facilities and greater commitment. That’s just not debatable.

We have a richer history, better recruiting pool, better atmosphere, elite competition.

There is no doubt Fooley put us back with his lack of commitment.

But at the end of the day, assuming pay is equal, a coach has to ask himself, “where do I have the best chance at a title”. The answer is UF. Even though we don’t have the bells and whistles there are only a few schools that have a better title chance than us.
