Nah I'm tired of the "sources" game. I was enjoying my day until I saw the onlygators report because i ignored twitter and this mess. i ignored all this garbage all day today. need to do the same tomorrow and just not click links.

 

I have the same weber smoker. As in years past I'm smoking a pair of 15lb birds, whole, one on each rack. 325, with a catch pan suspended above the (empty) water bowl to collect the drippings for making gravy. Smoked turkey gravy is amazing...

I'd be surprised if he HASN'T seen this thread, and been just as excited, disgusted, confused, aroused, and salivating as the rest of us.

 

Well, there might be a little problem is the next choice cannot or will not talk to us until after their bowl game. What is the best we can get from that candidate were a "maybe"? Strickin is in a tough spot as Kelly was our #1 choice it appears, and an accessible candidate. Timing could be bad for us as if he were free to sign he might already have done so. But there's that sticky NFL contract. Now, possibly because of that we have up to two schools competing against us. Hopefully we win but I have to be honest, I don't see him in O&B and if it turns out we had Kelly all along, great! There are times when it is good to be wrong.

Fully understand that saying SS job is to have this be a good look for the school, and manage the expectations should this go south he will have done as bad of a job at that as you can

 

I second that notion.

 

In n out burgers are great. The fries are cardboard however and the lines are ridiculous and full of slave labor. But the burgers are sublime.

Oh no that's not the reason, it would be for his inability to manage the press and process. He's created a situation where a loss on Chip would result in a devastating blow to UF as a brand.

Just my take, I don't get the warm and fuzzies from it, but that's essentially his entire job in regards to this. Happy he's taking big hacks, not happy how he's handled it if it wasn't in the bag. Hoping it is, and he's a damn hero and this is what I'm holding onto

 

2 weeks into this and the only thing we know is that no one knows anything. There are too many "sources" involved that know nothing

 

I can't imagine Stricklin not having a plan 1B. The other choices are still coaching but that doesn't stop us from talking to their agents. So I expect that if we lose out on Kelly, Stricklin will have to wait until after the bowl games to hold a presser to announce the hiring of 1B. Am I missing something here?

 

I just don’t understand why people come to these boards but then have issues with trusting the insiders here. Go to another board maybe? Anyways, @tilly and @BenTrillGriffin I’m on the insider side (Tilly’s doing) but still lurk on this thread specifically for your input. Much appreciated, at least from this Gator’s point of view. In all kinds of weather.
