Update: Kelly buzz..."The Thread" Hall of Fame bound.

Theyre just making a killing on an opportunity, to sucker people who love to gamble in on a bunch of information that could end up just being a bunch of internet rumors. They're in a win-win situation there regardless.

At this point the title should be "Winter is here, White Walkers have taken over Westeros". I am just waiting for a UCLA PC announcing Chipster as their Head Coach any day.

My feeling is Chip was playing UF all along, and just wanted to start feeling things early to put pressure on UCLA. He has a ton of money so I don't think he cares about who pays him more, but rather go where he would fit better. He will enjoy LA, and be able to make bigger difference on a team that is far less demanding of him than UF would be. He also is probably more familiar with west coast recruiting than here.

Hopefully this gets everyone to stop saying "done deal" until after the press conference from now on. People were already popping Champagne bottles last night even though they have been duped 20 times already over the course of the past week.

Could Chip end up being our coach? Yes absolutely. For reference, go back to Urban and ND. But it feels like 50/50 at this point.

We need Plan C asap, because Plan B (Frost) ship may have sailed already.

 

This is my thought as well. The coaching decision with both Mac and Muschamp were the news storys of the week when they happened.

At work and did not have time to look at all the posts since my last post. Nothing has changed Chip Kelly will be our coach. From all my inputs and sources this deal is a done deal. I am sure others have mentioned it (did not have a chance to see what has been posted) but SF is a part of this. Kelly to UF will not happen officially until after FSU so there is no question that Kelly is paid the money he is owed for the 2017 season. If announced earlier I will be surprised but it will be because they got sign off from San Fran that they agree Kelly was not a coach during 2017 season.

We can all relax. I am finally fully relaxed about this. All this mumbo jumbo about UCLA is just Stricklin letting the media go with it so when it is announced officially it will seem even bigger news.

 

As if an announcement made last night wouldn't have been interesting to the media. I do not feel better.

It's unimaginable that Kelly's agent didn't see it coming. Or that UCLA who has seen Kelly rumors going to Florida hasn't already contacted Kelly's agent before yesterday.
I'm betting talks with UCLA was already going on when Kelly decided to sign the contract with UF last night (if that's what happened).
None of this UCLA stuff is news to anyone.

 

It will be interesting and yes, will look like we got played if Kelly goes to UCLA. I can see why he would.
