Because they are actually behind the news, as in trying to keep up with it. All that is known at this point is there is a process between UF and Chip Kelly. It is not known today if there is a process between UCLA and Chip Kelly. However, if it is revealed today that UCLA and "Chip Kelly" are in contact OTL will discuss it sometime late tomorrow.

And just for comparison, the fact that we are still paying Champ means that wasn't part of our contract with him.

 

There are 4 to 6 posters in this thread that I have 100% confidence in and CK will be our Coach. It may not come on the timeline that some want to happen because they want it and they want it now attitude. There are millions of dollars on the line here for CK, Think about that for a moment, Would you rush in if you were in his shoes?

It seems it was more like Foley left out/ eliminated offset language that is typical on coaching contracts of both college and nfl coaches. Though I am admittedly not an expert.

Just still not sure why everybody went into a tizzy because 1 or 2 California based publications said UCLA wants Chip. Of course they do, but that doesn't mean Chip wants UCLA. He hasn't said anything, nor has his camp.

We all keep mentioning we want credible info/sources...just wonder why ESPN would keep bringing up the Kelly to UF narrative if there's not something concrete there.

Serious as can be! They can be in their ear all they want. If you don't think they'll wait to see who's hired before they make their choice I don't know what to tell you. Like I said, can't sign till the 20 th. So if they "verbally"decommit and a name like CK is announced you don't think they 'd be back if they truly wanted to be Gators in the first place?
