No one should believe the @GainesvilleSun reports. UF is instructing them to calm the storm so they can make the announcement on their own terms. Chip Kelly has signed the contract to be @GatorsFB next head coach.

 

If I was a UF fan I’d love Scott Frost...

You’re getting the younger version of Skip Kelly plus a hell of a recruiter. He’s already in the state, so you know he’s already built those relationships with the HS coaches..

Whoever the next coach is at UF needs to shut down the recruiting road that leads from Florida to Clemson. Dabo has done a great job getting recruits from the state of Florida.

No matter what though you guys will get a very good HC. You guys are my 2nd favorite.

I just don’t get that, I know you like the guy but we clearly have shit for offense and you want yet another defensive mind here? The games aren’t fun. Okay, I lied. I can't sleep. I'm just going to throw this out here. Why did all the players react that way if nothing is happening?

These are purely my own (optimistic) musings: Either someone in the AD or an influential booster got word that the deal was done and let it slip to a few players. That spread like wildfire among the players and to the recruits.

I will be shocked if we don't land Kelly. The players got that information from someone they trusted, and I think there is zero chance they were all trolling. They know something. JMO.

I readily admit that I am an optimist, but I believe we are going to land Chip.

 

Any person in Chips shoes would listen to multiple offers. If Florida really wants him and he really wants Florida, UCLA can’t touch what’s being offered. Unless it’s a lifetime supply of Big Baller Brand...they got us there.
