Update: Kelly buzz..."The Thread" Hall of Fame bound.

It is Kelly. I will never be the first to go out there and start a thread like Tilly because I have sources that will know it is me because everybody that knows me knows I am a big Bowie fan. Once a thread is started I can confirm. Remember there is a reason I started the first positive thread about Kelly almost 2 weeks ago. Unless something really fluky happens Kelly is our coach by week's end. Tilly stick with your initial reaction to your system it is 99.5% correct. Sorry I cannot name sources.

Three trains of thought here: 1) Tilly has to log off to become BenTrill; 2) There's a chance he may be working today, probably like the rest of us should be doing instead of focusing on a MB ; 3) The hire hasn't been made official and there's no new information to report.

 

I think this all depends on what happens to the other candidates. If we do not get Frost or Kelly and they both end up at other schools, then there will be meltdown.

However I would be happy with Mullen if Frost decides he wants to go to Nebraska and Kelly just is not interested. I just do not see Nebraska becoming a powerhouse no matter who takes over.

In my opinion the other candidates either have too large of a buyout or I just do not feel solid about them. The only up and coming coach I want is Frost. After him it has to be Kelly or Mullen

 

Tuesday was Florida Theatre, Wed was quarter beers at CJ's. Not sure about Copper. Of course, that was 20+ years ago.

This is the basis for my little personal boycott of that league - nobody knows or cares whether or not I watch another NFL game - except me. No positive clicks for Roger Goodell's league. I really haven't missed it on Sundays, as I love being outside more than sitting indoors anyway, and I already give up a piece of my Saturdays watching college ball. Monday nights are tempting, but hey, I just finished another great Randy Wayne White novel.

I don't really love the prospect of Mullen but aside from Gundy I'd take him if Kelly or Frost don't work out. I don't really see Mullen as an elite coach but I do believe he could improve our program from where we are now, might be a nice setup for the next guy.

 

I graduated in 91 so i go back a bit further.

 

The local radio guys are really tamping down the fire on Kelly.

Same here. Really hard to get excited about him. His offenses at MSU haven't been spectacular and MSU. But what he has accomplished there is pretty significant. If he can roll out a MSU team that can play Bama to the end of the 4th quarter, you would certainly think he could do that here too.

My biggest concern is how he would use Matt Corrall.

 

Once you fall out of their target demographic they quit you so it has worked out well
