Update: Kelly buzz..."The Thread" Hall of Fame bound.

There is a thread like this on every gator forum. Hell, I bet there is a thread like this on Nebraska forums and Volunteer forums. It’s par for the course. Just fun to read all the speculation and realize no one knows much of anything.

 

Charlie had never been a HC. Kelly was a tremendous record as a college HC. With Weis, you were taking on an unknown. That's always risky.

 

That's why he has "The Closer" in Jajuan Seider go along with him.

 

For all of you looking for concrete information....if he was hired, the thread would say, "Chip Kelly Hired", not "Kelly Buzz getting Hotter". Stop pissing in everyone's cereal and go read something else if you don't like it.

 

Mods sure allow a lot more THFSG leaks than they did back when I used to frequent that cesspool.

Well, there was that whole being HC at Notre Dame from 2005-2009 prior to his being hired as OC here, which I believe is the hire that @chemgator was talking about.

 

Weis sucked at ND and was fired. Kelly was a top 3 coach in CFB during his tenure

 

I'll be pissed to lose out on Kelly to A&M or the Vols and Frost to Nebraska or A&M, only to settle for Norvell or Taggert

 

I miss the old days when we can remark that a post is dumb. This would be a prime example.

 

I'm not debating that Kelly is a better hire than Weis. I'm on the Kelly train. Might want to start with the initial post and trace that response history.

I agree. Cheaper and likely same offense. I think Frost could recruit as well as Kelly, probably better because of the fire. And lets be real, he's been recruiting Florida for two seasons now. Is Chip Kelly really going to hit the recruiting trail? I doubt it.
