First it was supposed to be announced on Wednesday. Then it was Thursday. Now it’s supposedly Friday.

Damn I am getting no work done this week. My boss really needs this coaching search to come to an end.

Ok, lets pretend for a minute that we are interviewing both and decide that either could put together a pretty exciting offense but that Kelly's could be a step above and beyond Frost's. Big plus for Kelly, right?

But, during the process you also sense Kelly wants the job but would prefer not to have to deal with all that goes with it- booster meetings, recruiting year round, working with adolescents... maybe you realize during the interview that he doesn't talk about character development and molding young people- you realize that's not important to him and not part of his program platform. Maybe you pick up on a certain type of arrogance where he feels the University would be the one that is lucky to have him as our HC, not quite that he would feel lucky and honored to be our coach. That's possible right? Maybe Chip is saying "It will take me a few seasons to get my offense in place".

On the other hand- and I doubt this could happen simultaneously if he's not talking to us- what if Frost was talking with us about recruiting, his program for recruiting, how much he wants to land the best players, how much he loves developing character in young people, how much he wants to put together a stud defensive and STs program, and that he's willing to be here for 10 years. Maybe Frost is saying "I think I can win immediately with the players you have on roster".

I'm just saying, who knows what the UAA is testing for during the vetting/interview process and who knows what they are hearing from the candidates(and agents) with whom they are in contact.

 

To be fair, last night Bowie said it would probably be Friday

 

"Dragging it on"? Jeez, Mac was just canned just over 2 weeks ago. Talk about instant gratification. Man what a society we live in nowadays.

 

No announcement yet? WTH?! Ive been gone for over an hour!

At this point I'm starting to question Scrotchs Sitchin's dedication to this. He's had 20 days to find a coach. That breaks down into 480 hours. I know he cant work at it all the time. So lets say he needs 8 hrs of sleep a day(should be 4 til he finds a coach. 1/2 hr each for breakfast lunch and dinner( really wasting time here, he can eat while he's walking and talking. An hour for his family everyday(call them on the phone til this is done). An hour for bathroom breaks( more wasted time, do the duck walk if ya gotta poop, and every man learns how to walk and pee as a kid). That adds up t0 11.5 hours a day he's not working on getting a coach. Which leaves 12.5/day x 20 days for a total of 10.5 DAYS to get it done. WTH HAS HE BEEN DOING WITH HIS TIME?!

If you have an elite candidate who is currently not coaching and interested your school, you get it done right away....especially with the ‘18 class and early signing period in limbo

For those doubting Kelly's commitment go back a few pages and read the article @mdfgator posted yesterday. Sort of a long read, but very insightful about Kelly and his background.

Really worth the effort and it seems we have the time.....
