For me, the only reason to prefer anyone over Frost is the simple fact that he hasn’t proven himself as a HBC at the level he’d be entering at UF. Although his accomplishments are impressive at UCF, it’s still in that shitty conference. So choosing Frost wouldn’t be too far removed from the decision to bring in Mac out of CSU in that shitty conference. That said, he very likely is the real deal and I’d be thrilled with the announcement of Frost........or Kelly

 

Trey Wallace just reported on his podcast that UF and CK are talking but it’s still early and not the done deal some have suggested. He said to watch and see what happens this week. He says Gruden or Mullen to UT

Kelly would definitely be exciting! 25 pages of rumors has me excited, but braced for a Taggart announcement.

This is what I have been saying on all of the Frost threads. If he had beaten some big teams he would be more of a no brainer. He could be the next Urban Meyer, but he could also be the next dud.

 

Yes, you and I don't count since we're not "public" personalities. Companies can also get the blue check mark.

 

I think the level of improvement from before he got there to this season is significantly better than almost any other coach out there though. Mac made a bad CSU decently better each year in a bad conference. Frost has made UCF an offensive powerhouse in a bad conference by his 2nd year. Reminds me of Urban at Bowling Green. Definitely a risk though.
