Strunklind is not stupid. You don't pick the best option as a smoke screen. You pick someone lower on the totem pole, to distract everyone while you take someone from the top.
I doubt Stricklin is throwing out smokescreens, he is either going to hire Kelly or he isn't. I do believe the longer it goes on the less likely its Chip Kelly. He is the AD and its his call, not ours and he shouldn't be influenced by message boards or fans (in most cases). HOWEVER, if it isn't Chip Kelly he probably should put out the fire because whoever he hires will be a let down and the fanbase will be against him from the start.
Welcome to the site and thank you for sharing some actual info in this thread. Thread has gotten too silly by all these comedians, so your post was refreshing. Hoping we got more encouraging info later today
Chances are any aircraft that would be involved in any Coaching search will be blocked from tracking.
I'd be ashamed if I didn't contribute to this in some way since this will likely (and surely already is) become one of the more famous threads in the history of this forum. So to all the insiders with inside information on the inside of this intensively intricate induction of our new coach in the works, I just want to say good luck. We're all counting on you.
He hasn't put the fire out which is why I think CK will be our next coach, given his tweets in response to things that have gotten out and the lack of tweets to kill this i believe is telling.
If Chip Kelly isn’t announced as the new HC, the outrage and uproar from Gator Nation will have drastic cosmic consequences. A hole will be ripped into the space time continuum, forever altering reality as we know it. I hope our AD understands that the fate of humanity and our universe is hinging on the outcome of this coaching search.
At this point, if Chip Kelly or Scott Frost isn't hired, we're going to have to suffer what Tennessee has been suffering. A bunch of mediocre to poor coaches, until the right time arises to get a splash hire. The right time is now and the chance is there for a splash hire -- don't mess this up Stricklin!
This is the first time in as long as I can remember that Gator Country ever got together on anything.
