I don’t blame Tilly or BTR. I think they were passing along info they were being told. However I don’t think the info was any good...insider info is only good if it’s true. And I wouldn’t pay one Nickle for the insider boards.

All the nonsense aside, The college football world took a gasp of relief that Kelly didn't choose to come to Florida. No one outside of Gainesville wanted to see him here.

He did a pretty good job at Louisville (even beat our ass in New Orleans), appears to be doing pretty good at USF, and he built up some solid cred. with his work at UF. Dude's Gator as Gator gets.

...and any shred of credibility you had wrt CS, went out the window, when you referred to one of the solidest ass 57 year old's you will EVER meet--I mean built like a brick shithouse solid--as "fat ass."

    Really??? :confused:o_O:rolleyes:

    Coño, compay....

I'll meet you as far as there a few better options available this year--it's a great year to be looking for a new coach--but there's no need to go negative on a real option, with a huge cache of Gator cred.

You keep focusing on Texas, while discounting his other work.

Maybe froat was plan A until CK leveraged himself as a candidate to SS. Just maybe Frost likes it in florida and he chooses uf (one can wish). Time will tell and I'm sure UF was prepared to keep looking after Sunday. I just want a coach that has a hunger for offense and a solid def to mqke uf football exciting again. Hopefully this soap opera will be over soon.

Agree 100%. Think now every update was BS. They took us for a ride. I will never use this board for info again. They make us look like idiots. Chip Kelly went to a garbage program.

UF Ad said that the next HC will bring back the fun to Gator games, Strong doesn't fit that answer.

Agree. And I won’t be one of those posters saying we didn’t want him anyway or we’re better off without him but I wonder if there won’t come a time when Chip himself regrets his decision.

Who is defining “fun”? His definition may not match up with what you or I think.

IDK....his Bulls were a whole lot of fun to watch last night against UCF....and his Louisville teams were pretty fun to watch. In fact, for a guy who cut his teeth and built his cred. on the defensive side of the ball, his offenses have been far more impressive than his defenses. Even at Texas, I remember him having many a shoot out, and not much defense.

So he's not a 'fat ass', and he's coached exciting offensive football teams...what's your next objection?

I dont know if this had already been mentioned. Someone mentioned CK's BMI...is it possible that he simply didnt want to be in the blistering heat of GNV during summer practices and fall games. Look...some folks dont like to feel hot or sweat...for all we know it came down temperature and the Florida heat!

Thanks for all the updates and input throughout this CK ordeal, fellas. Its greatly appreciated.

I let ya down, bro. I was confident my nightly burn offerings would seal the deal ;)
I still have faith in SS and maintaining optimism that we will land a quality HC!

Time to move on from this thread. It had a legendary run, but now it's just bitter memories. Don't want to think or talk about Chip anymore.

Moving over to the Frost thread where I hear things are rainbows and roses.

I'm not endorsing Strong, but it seems like a lot of y'all won't think the gator games will be fun unless we're in the SECCG every year, or at least every other year. What if we average 40 points per game but lose 4 or 5 games every year? Will it be fun then?

For me, personally, success would make me happy. SEC titles, and contention for the playoffs.

That said, if we aren’t going to have that every year (which is not realistic), I would prefer the games be fun to watch. Losing a game 35-28, while still not fun, is more entertaining than losing 28-3. Especially if we have less than 200 yards of offense, 4 turnovers, and a bunch of predictable 3 and outs every week.

That’s interesting because I know a lot of Texas fans and they thought he got a raw deal.

I disagree. Yes, there are few who got their panties in a wad, but most on this free sight really appreciated what they shared. I would really hate to see that disappear going forward. That happened a couple of years ago on TOS and ruined that forum. Please don't encourage the same here.
