Source tells me Chip Kelly really liked the #UF brass and was impressed by them and that made it hard but in the end he was more comfortable living on the West Coast than in Gainesville & with the opportunities at #UCLA.

I'm glad these guys shared what they were hearing. Not their fault the info didn't pan out.

I think a lot of us are pissed off Ck didn't work out. we got our hopes up and then crushed and are looking for someone to blame for something no one on this board had any control over anway. It's not tilly and btg

 

I don't think anyone thought he was making it up. I think he's a person excited about possibility for the gators and getting information from an insider. I just believe the insiders are far more in the dark than ten years ago. Given this is still a cottage industry, there's going to be a premium on protecting the notion they have reliable information that nobody else can get.

Belatedly, I thank them for sharing, I just think all of this information needs to be taken with a 5lb bag of salt these days.

Probably not. Go to UCLA and he can just plug right back in to his network of contacts and HS coaches. We gave it a shot, which was more than I expected we would. Didn't work out, yet we are no worse off than at the time of Mac's pink slip.

What I'd love to hear is what exactly the UAA is micromanaging. If that's true then our football program is screwed so it's important to get it out in the open if we can.
