ah, kk. guess i didn't quite remember what you posted. i think at teams with inferior talent, an excellent coach can play giant killer. i also think it's impossible to keep guys that high for a whole season. cept for a couple opponents, iowast has a talent disadvantage to every other team on their schedule.

The scheme is the same in the NFL: have better players than your opponent. The mental part gets figured out sooner or later. That is why you don't know whether you have a franchise QB or not until about the 5th year.

Well technically i could be a complete moron and he could still pick florida its just that everything my nfl insider has told me combined with tea leaves from other spots leads me to feeling insanely confident that chip is absolutely not picking florida.

I disagree (I think?). Because there's so much parity in the NFL, scheming makes more of a difference than it does in college (although, it makes a big difference in college). It's why a guy like Wade Phillips can come in and turn around defense after defense during his career. Talent matters. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken scat, but the majority of NFL teams are close enough in talent that scheming makes a huge difference.

Of course, having a franchise QB definitely helps.

I respectfully disagree. At UF we have had two examples of coaches that made a ‘done deal’ then Chang d thier mind. Still the deal in principle was announced. I don’t believe any deal was agreed to here and the the marketing of this board was done to sell premiums. Which is OK because that is why this board is here, to make money. I chose not to pay and yet have seen any reason too.
