But I agree with you lol (except for the treating him like a discount coach part, SS is really trying to pony up whatever he needs to). He was also raised in Lincoln in addition to it being his alma mater. With the recruiting piece, Frost's time at UCF is all he needed for a pipeline to UF. He'll still have those relationships if he goes to Nebraska.

 

UF UAA needs to come out and say, "We're pulling the offer and moving forward. Get off the Crapper, Chip."

We’re not getting frost his wife is from AZ she wants to head West. Right now it’s Chip or bust just be prepared. I keep reading where we get Frost everything I’ve read says that doesn’t happen.

 

Look at what it has cost to wiff on the last two hires....makes a hell of alot môre sense to pay a good coach $$$$ to coach and win then pay two bad coaches $$ ea not to coach!!!

The logic here is baffling. Kiffin got his shot in the NFL. He got fired. Kiffin got his shot at a major program. He got fired. How on earth does have have "elite coach potential" when those other guys do not? Your criticisms over those other coaches apply just as much to Kiffin.

If we want a proven coach, we go Miles or Mullen.(assuming Gundy is a no) You bypass the upside. If we want a coach with potential, we go with Norvell, Campbell, or Taggart.(assuming Frost is a no) You don't go with Kiffin or Strong. They had their chances and failed. They have a lot more to prove before they get another chance.

I was thinking this before I read your post. My only concern is that of you are using it as leverage, (a) you potentially have given yourself only 2-3 hours of leverage (because then you will know whether SF will be coaching in the SAC championship game) and (b) SF will answer CK's texts about whether he is interested. Limits the leverage you can create with this leak.

 

Yeah, that would be bush league. Can't imagine that's it, or CK would have already announced UCLA.
