It’s not losing a free press to respect the title nine privacy laws.

 

That’s branding TG before any of this stuff ever happened.

 

I hope it is not true either. AND, while there are certainly women who "play" the sexting game, do not pretend that men don't stalk, harass or use sexuality at work or in relationships, on line and in real life.

Bottom line is if you are a grown ass man, don't put yourself in those positions in bars ("roll tide") or online. Not saying TG is wrong but shifting this to women somehow having "master" power online is BS.

 

Shocked at the whole situation and I think TG has completely denied it with some plausible reason that makes sense because they have been looking into this for almost two months and no disciplinary action had been put on TG. I guess they are trying to get definitive proof one way or the other...if he said that was not his account.

 

The Alligator broke the news because someone sent them and channel 20 a copy of the title 9 complaint. No one reads the other rag anymore anyway so I don't guess they sent them a copy.

 

The story is beyond disturbing and people like this have a history. Seems odd to be a made up story at this point given their clearly is photographic evidence

 

The odds of a head coach having a fireable misconduct is what? 1 in 500?

We have the most recent major head coaching scandal in college for three sports.

The odds of that happening randomly would be like getting struck by lightning

According to that ESPN article, there are no Title IX privacy laws.

 

Hope your right, maybe it brings them closer I just think it will be so tough on the players.

 

Not trying to brand TG. But here is what is troubling. The women referred to in the Independent Alligator story allege that UF Special Assistant Ralphie Ferrari and UF Director of Basketball Strategy and Analytics Jonathan Safir were complicit in Golden’s misconduct and had knowledge of it.

This doesn't seem to match up with a hacked Instagram account explanation.

Guess we'll see how this plays out, but I don't think it looks good.

 

Not blaming. Just describing. I've enjoyed the pub since my days on campus even when it made me groan.

 

I was actually thinking the same thing. And stalking? How did he even have that much alone time? Not to mention he's the freaking head basketball coach in a university town. Don't you think someone would have noticed Golden lurking around? And why would he ever do that, putting himself in that situation. Surely he would be found out. He'd either have to be a sick, twisted SOB or this is all BS

1 in 500? Are you kidding? Have you ever spent time around jocks? Based on my high school football days, I'd say the odds of a head coach having a fireable misconduct is 1 in 4.

 

I used to work for the Sun, in the '80s. It is sad to see how little regard there is for the publication now. People used to complain about it back then, but not with the disregard and contempt I see now. Our crew would have been all over this story.
