I haven’t seen the new A Man Called Otto, but I did like the original Swedish A Man Called Ove.

I just watched Echoes Of The Past, which happened to be Max von Sydow‘s last movie. It’s in English, German and Greek. It is a fictional life story based on a true event, the worst massacre the Nazis did in Greece. It set in modern times with flashbacks to the event.

Liked Vengeance so much that we are road tripping to Big Bend & Marfa in may. There really is a recording studio out there - Sonic Ranch

Oh man, that is so cool. That first scene at the recording studio was amazing.

I've only seen half of those, and less than a quarter of the others mentioned in this thread.

Apparently im a rank amatuer movie/ TV/whatever you call Netflix etc (with the series') watcher.

This only lasted 2 seasons on Starz but a while back I streamed it and it was very good, I’d put it in the top 10 TV series I have watched. I think you can get it on Amazon.

Another sleeper series I found very good was a British series called “Humans” - again on Amazon. It lasted 3 seasons I think, and is kind of timely. Deals with the creation of human like androids, and the reaction of society to them.

Another sci fi on Amazon - was originally a USA network series, was Mr Robot. It is pretty interesting but at times a bit uneven and quirky, but overall I liked it.

The Expanse is an Amazon Original sci FI series - it’s good but not great.

Fringe - mostly good rework long running sci series quite a few years ago. Sometimes it was better than others. Good actors. At times dealt with parallel universe issues.

Black Mirror - Netflix - very good - independent episodes dealing with near future technology sci fi themes. Some episodes are great, some good, some OK. The first episode is pretty bizarre, but I wouldn’t judge the series on that episode.

    Other good Tv Series:

    - The White Lotus - HBO - it took me a while to warm up to this one but I eventually did. Personally I liked the second season better than the first.

    - Succession - HBO - currently in last season. Haven’t started latest seasons. At times I really like it, other times it gets repetitive.

    Game of thrones

Hell on Wheels - not sure what it is on now. It was originally an AMC series. I started it 3 different times, but finally stuck with it, glad I did. You just have to fight through the first few episodes. Fictional account of post civil war construction of rail roads, protagonist was a confederate veteran who went to work on railroad.

Nah. Soap opera suggests that the 'drama' or source of tension has been reduced to romancy shit. But while there are some romances happening, the conflict and tension remain about control of the land occupied by the YS ranch, the politics, and all kinds of violence and chicanery derivative thereof.

Btw, the cattle drive at the end of the finale, was one of the finest hours of television ive ever witnessed.

If they end it now, so be it. Imo, they'd be ending at the very peak. Not a bad way to go.

....but damn, would they be leaving a shit pile on the table...

The F1 series on Netflix is quite entertaining. I watch that when I am taking a break from running and on the spin bike…

just finished the most recent season.

But I am an even bigger amateur @92gator!

No doubt. I was shocked to see him alive and still acting. Remember him from Big Trouble in Little China? That was ages ago and I thought he was a senior back then.

I watched Black Mirror and Electric Dreams about the same time, so when I think of an episode, I can’t always remember which series came from. Both series were very good.

Been rewatching boardwalk empire. Brutal violence but great writing early on. Visually pleasing if you like architecture and 1920s styling. Seemed like there was always something to look at even during slower moving episodes.

We found the series Clarkson‘s Farm fascinating. Great insights into what it takes to run a farm in Britain. Also pretty hilarious at times. And he drives a Lamborghini tractor!

Oh man I loved me some Emanuel but then they got silly with the sequels. SkiniMax got old after I started getting some. I hear there’s some good stuff on pornhub but mostly romance..
