When Evil Lurks ... run, don't walk to your nearest streaming service. Maybe my favorite horror of the year.

Series (not movie) - worth a watch IMO if you like detective procedurals. Much of it centers around the Mansion family but there other plotlines and themes. Two seasons. Some of it is a bit over the top, but I'm enjoying it. I feel like they're using the same police set as Grimm but haven't tried to confirm.

Aquarius (TV Series 2015–2016) ⭐ 7.0 | Biography, Crime, Drama

A gritty 1960s cop drama about LAPD detective Sam Hodiak and his trainee, who must deal with gangs, brutal crimes, changing times, family crises and unhinged manipulative small-time crook Charles Manson, who's slowly building his cult.

A horror film that has a 99% on rotten tomatoes. Rare air!

I'm not sure if its Citizen Kane with that kind of rating, but its really good, at least when it comes to the kind of horror films I like.

Im definitely intrigued, though the RT consensus suggests a movie I shouldn’t be watching with the wife.

I will say it is a very dark & nihilistic movie about demonic possession, it doesnt have American sensibilities, so bad things definitely happen to children in this one too

This is not a joke. “Godzilla Minus One” is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a decade. This says it better than I could. I recommend biggest screen you can.

"Godzilla Minus One" delivers a cinematic masterpiece that transcends the typical kaiju film experience. This 2023 addition to the Godzilla franchise, skillfully directed and written by Takashi Yamazaki, strikes an impeccable balance between awe-inspiring monster action and a deeply resonant human narrative.

    I might check that out.

My wife & I went to see Jesus Christ Superstar last night. Other folks were in our seats. She had the night wrong - it is tonight. That was awkward. Came home & watched Munich which I'd never seen. Not bad & sorta timely.

The best movie I have seen in a very long while. Wow was it good. More like a play on film. Only 3 actors and it all takes place in a single room. Superb acting by all 3. Based on actual events.
    Streaming on Prime.

This was really good. I would have seen it at some point, but your recommendation pushed it to the top of my list. Not disappointed. Argentine aspect made it particularly different and interesting.

Anyone watching Shadow Bone on Netflix? I liked the first season a lot , but I'm starting to waver on Season 2.

Since it came out 5 or 6 years ago I’ve been intrigued by The Rider, but waited until I felt ready to watch it. Just finished it after 3 watch sessions. IMO, a staggering work of art. I cried through most of it.

Forest Gump wins for best pic & this film wasn’t nominated? BS

Went to the theater & saw this yesterday. It's a really good movie. If this guy makes another 1 I hope it includes Mothra.

When I did some research after watching this I discovered the Kyle Chandler character is a former UF basketball player and is like 6'10'' IRL

Had no idea about Bill Gurley. Very cool. Kyle Chandler is a great actor. I'd referenced Wolf of Wall Street in my post without even remembering that Chandler was in that movie.
