they aren't raising taxes, they are just enforcing the rules already on the books. small businesses operating properly will not have tax increases. those writing off every facet of their daily lives will either learn to become more efficient or go out of business

They will always consider closing loop holes or simply hiring more IRS people to collect or audit increasing taxes, because more revenue is collected

You couldn't be more wrong. When the details are confirmed, you aren't going to like it. What we know you shouldn't like either. This piece of crap fiscal policy should have been left on the scrap pile of history. The net result will be higher inflation, lower employment and wages, and higher interest rates.

All Hail! The democrat's climate change god is striking again.

    Another unsubstantiated rant... yay!

Here are the "confirmed details": DocumentCloud

Your grandchildren will be grateful for this first major step to address climate change. You should be too, but won't cause you 'never change'.

I had a similar reaction when I saw Sinema successfully held out for this, mostly because politics is shitty.

But then I came around to not letting perfect get in the way of good. I'd gladly tolerate tax privileges for a group in return for a 40% reduction in pollutants. We can circle back to the CI loopholes at a later time. Gotta look out for ET's grandkids.

You hope the net result will be higher inflation, lower employment and wages, and higher interest rates. Your hopes have nothing to do with what will actually happen. And how do you figure this bill will result in both higher inflation but lower employment and wages? Sounds like we're headed for the dreaded stagflation, all because of this bill. Explain it to us.

This just proves how liberal the media is. They know the truth, but they made a bunch of companies hire people so they wouldn't have to release it!

You guys are living the crapola now with inflation at 9.2%, a 41 year high, and the GDP contracting over the last 2 quarters. It's only going to get worse with passage of this bill that will not do anything it says it will do including not a dent in climate change.

Hey, let's throw a globalist climate party where the US is the country that gets screwed. You guys are too funny for words. The nations of the world are laughing at the US under the Biden Administration.

I see, you are fine with 9.2% inflation and 2 quarters of negative GDP growth. Sure, why not? If you are high income earner, you can weather the storm just fine. It won't be a recession until you feel the pain. Don't worry, the Biden Administration is raising your taxes on top of your Biden inflation tax. Sooner or later, you will feel it. The later is next year when this bill kicks in.

Substantiate how this bill won't put a dent in climate change. And substantiate it...

Substantiate how the nations of the world are "laughing at the US".

I can't be concerned for you. When the recession deepens along with higher inflation, higher interest rates, and reduced hiring, you won't be able to say you weren't told it is coming. Bookmark my warning.

The employment numbers are going down because its forcing folks back into the workforce. The rent holds are ending and COVID $ is drying up finally, so people have to actually work again. The futures numbers are not very promising. The boomers that retired are probably going to regret it here in the next year or so. With inflation and the bubble busting, people are going to lose a lot of wealth if they have all their assets in Real estate and stocks. You will see the numbers drop again when Student loan repayment resumes.
