I was upset when we lost Princely and ETN but given their obvious all about me attitudes I am really glad they are not on the team now. Poison IMHO
I hate the fact there's 7 pages about a player that didn't want to be here. Tired of talking about these guys. Wish we could focus on talking about our current players.
It may sound like sour grapes, but these guys just didn't seem to "feel" it at UF for one reason or another - and it showed. Chronically inconsistent effort, while ignoring his assignments to go head hunting at the expense of the team, were problems for PU and UF that went away when he did. And while ET is obviously a gifted RB, he apparently has yet to grasp the importance of not getting his QB killed with half-assed pass blocking or not being a public menace behind the wheel of a car. IMHO, the manner in which these two young men have handled themselves in recent months speaks for itself. I think we'll be just fine without their "presence' in the locker room going forward. They're just Gator Bait now. Chomp, chomp.
If Presley and ETN were still on the team, We would support them and hope that EN became a complete player by learning how to block, and that princely got more mature and became a great leader for our team.
we did hang Benedict, Arnold, correct? And there is a monument for where we hung him. screw, those guys
They left freely and of their own accord. UF owes them nothing - except a big fat L come FB season. EOR.
The jail cell that he was kept in it just as it was and the place is made into a restaurant. They just cut the tree that he was hung from about 10 years ago because it died. True story
Unfortunately, Benedict Arnold escaped to England and never faced the hangman. But the good news is that he lived out his life in Limeyland as a pariah, being largely shunned by British society. I guess turncoats aren't that well-liked or trusted by many no matter where you go - except of course at UGA or Ole Miss.
We did manage to catch a British Major named Andre out of uniform, whom a military tribunal promptly strung up for espionage. Perhaps the tree you referenced was the site of Major Andre's final act of service to king and country. Just a guess.
The difference is that we don't have players here who bad mouth their old schools. These players are being used by their new coach for propaganda purposes, which trolls here amplify. Then you end up with 7 pages.
He is trolling us … maybe at the behest of Lane…but when you look at the other side / the ONLY Gator defensive player to make the all-sec team in the last 5 years leaves… privately tells people it was “about development”/ then does it publicly… it doesn’t bode well. So you have an all time bad gator D, a decent offense but go 5-7… lose your most talented athletes on offense and defense and they BOTH go public with their dissatisfaction with the staff and program… That’s a bad look at the very least and writing on the wall at worst. And sure- CBN made offseason moves… moves with staff and roster that I LOVE… but if you add it all up… Princely doesn’t seem like the problem here or wrong in any way. The offseason moves and roster development may turn us around. I hope it does. But so far we’ve seen a guy who is an excellent salesman for the program but the substance hasn’t been there.
