UD Not a Fan of DeSantis Embarrassing the State of Florida

Maybe because people move here because of the weather and taxes like all the other people prior to Desantis. How do explain all the people that moved here BEFORE desantis became governor?

 

I just don’t see DeSantis getting a third term.

Because, at least in Florida, what you perceive as “extremism” apparently does win elections.

For all of Democrats’ undoubtedly well-meaning hand wringing about how Republicans must really be shooting themselves in the foot by not being the same ol’ GOP, Republicans in Florida went out and did all of the things you describe as “extremist” and were electorally “punished” at the polls with … their best electoral performance in the state ever, by a pretty good margin?

For all of the “no one likes this kind of governance” warnings that you all seem so fond of giving, experience (at least in Florida) seems to say markedly otherwise.

Florida is becoming more and more of a political outlier IMO
