U.S. drops humanitarian aid into Gaza while ally Israel obstructs it

In another post I mentioned not a majority but a sizable minority supported Hamas. Pre 10/6 polling had their support around 30% I think. But the minority was mainly due to corruption. The person garnering the most support is a Palestinian in an Israeli jail for Terrorism

 

You poo-pooed the period in which they were elected by suggesting it was out of protest... as though a protest vote justifies voting for actual modern Nazis.

The attacks are coming one way or other. To the extent you degrade their capabilities it reduces the short term possibilities.

Let’s see, Hamas built a huge tunnel complex under Gaza in order to one day “make war” against Israel. They purposely put entrances and exits under hospitals, schools, stadiums, UN buildings and other civilian structures in order to use them as “cover”.
They plan then attack, kill, rape, etc Israeli citizens in a very brutal event. They also take many hostages to use as bargaining chips.
Again, I say that the IDF needs to keep going until every inch of tunnel is exposed and destroyed. Hamas created and caused this misery upon the Palestinians, and they did it in a way that they knew would cause civilian casualties. So put the deaths where it belongs, on Hamas.

 

The logic that Hamas = bad therefore Israel can kill whomever they want in Gaza for as long as they want is a poor one. Doesn’t matter how much you dress it up or how many cute ways you say it.

The leadership of Hamas isn't in Gaza. Shouldn't Israel be targeting the leadership?

Pre 10/6, Israel had already killed civilians in Gaza in at least 5 separate military incursions.

 

Let's be honest. Israeli snipers deliberately Target women and children holding white flags. Israel deliberately bombs civilian targets.

 

They kill civilians in the West Bank all the time as well. Israel definitely uses bullying tactics and then don’t seem to understand when somebody hits back. They treat Palestinians as sub-standard humans.

 

And one of the Israeli politicians behind that policy has endorsed Trump.

They should be finding and targeting every tunnel Hamas dug under Gaza, and blowing them up or making them unusable for future hamas use.

Perhaps, for sustenance, they look to our message board to see all the "pro-life" keyboard warriors opining that there is no limit to the acceptable collateral damage. Killing of civilians and children, that is.

 

I have scoured looking for accurate data on civilian death ratio in Gaza and the numbers I keep finding have it in the mid 60% range. If anyone has any other info please feel free to post but quick study on conflicts in the last 70 years has civilian death ratio between 60-85%. If those number are indeed accurate, That would Mean this conflict estimates are in line with past going back to WWII. That’s an interesting stat considering this is entirely urban warfare in densely populated area with one side overtly using their own civilians as cover as a military strategy and not just as unintended collateral Damage

 

Trump may have unintentionally managed to save Biden's campaign in Michigan. It's become common knowledge the voters of Arabic decent as well as younger voters are really pissed off over Biden's support of Israel, despite his criticism, his call for a 2-state solution and the Administration's recent calls for a ceasefire. Trump's statement that Israel should finish the job in Gaza may end up providing the motivation among voters concerned about the situation in Gaza to vote for Joe Biden despite their serious misgivings.
