I don't understand all that VPN stuff.

I have written to PBS America to see if it airs over here. Very frustrating it's not, as far as I can tell. Really wish it was!

This forum is out to lunch when it comes to empathy for millions of folks who have been and continue to struggle.

LMFAO! That's like blaming the gun for shooting... There isn't a system on Earth that humans cannot corrupt. And, unfortunately, Capitalism is no exception.

Gratitude is a good word. When I watched it it was humility for me, I sure as heck haven’t worked any harder than they have. I just haven’t been able to shake since I watched it the idea of working that hard for that long for so little, with so many struggles.

I watched it. The Jackie and Stanley marriage, faith, and devotion to each other was very moving.

To me, the plot: education is the great equalizer.

edit: side story… men have to have purpose or there is a failure of the family unit.

It has been in my life. My parents came from meager backgrounds - my mom - an orphan went to college from money received after her brother died on Okinawa in WWII and my dad went to college because some anonymous person in his home town paid for it . They were each the first in their family. The ability for my parents to receive an education changed my life and I think the lives of my children and that gift is why I feel such gratitude for all I have. Its enough.
