4 of his 8 5*s were from states other than Louisiana. I think he pulled more talent from Texas and Florida overall.
I may be the only one but…outside of the thrill for the players…i am not so interested in all the PWO program talk. I cannot recall a single walk on that made a substantial contribution (outside of kickers) since Chris Doering. Has there been any starter who was a walk on since Doering? I get that the walk ons help with practice and scout team but still waiting for one to actually make an actual big impact across a season or career. Used to be pretty common - Louis Oliver, maybe Rodney Weston (think he was a walk on) but since early Spurrier days…pretty much no impact outside of kickers / punters and a Mike McNeely fake fg attempt for a td. Am I missing someone?
Matthew principle in action. I will say that I do expect Raymond/RB coach/Napiers Louisiana connections to produce at some point.
