Lane’s son used to wear a Gator jersey. Father-in-law was Gator great. Ex-wife’s family were all Gator lovers. I think he would want the job. Brash like Spurrier. Has a high powered offense. His defense is improving. I would bring back Urban as well. Won at Utah, UF and Ohio State. And Bowling Green. Resume is in our trophy case. Two national championships. Pay him or Lane $10 million per year for 10 years and $1 million more for a SEC Championship and a million more for a National Championship.
You wonder if the Reaves family would want that to happen. Not sure what their relationship is after a divorce.
I think it will take at least 11 or 12 million per year to get Kiffin or anyone else on his coaching level
It wouldn't be a rebuild for him. He knows how to run an offense and get the ball out of his QB's hand if the line sucks.
With a huge buyout that all but guarantees him 4-5 years…..that people will lament from day one, and act like the ad is the biggest idiot in the world for doing the same thing every other big program has to do to bring in a new coach. And who knows if he or anyone else will be successful in this snakebitten program. I wouldn’t come anywhere near Gainesville if I was Lane, unless I was coming to poach a player. He’s in a pretty good spot.
Exactly. He's a true play caller. Clemson ran Napier out of town. He really believes he's good at calling plays lol
Not surprised, but I've become more and more suspicious of what exactly goes into determining a starter........to me there's a trend here, that speaks to something other than the best players earning starters reps.
Meanwhile, over on CBS Sports.com, there’s a video of Canes players after the game yelling to our recruits, “Don’t go here, come to the U.”
You have to have the big boys because you could have 42 wide receivers and 27 defensive backs, but that doesn’t mean shit if you get your ass handed to you up front.
