Agree. Staff has to appear competent managing games. Should not look like they have in-game decision difficulties. We probably agree on that? I would add, that the perception some have that those who control Napier's future at UF might have started believing the build from ground up is necessary and time was needed. But they also expect the guy to coach at a high level. If you give someone 5 years to complete a project that could be accomplished in three... So yes, hopefully what you envision happens at least. Right now, for whatever reasons, recruits do not have confidence and I have to believe it's the way other staffs recruit. That can all change with a good season. I like Rivals even though the board thinks Rivals discredits Gator commits. And the quality is high. Tell me this, Auburn had a losing season as did miami and so far Cristobal look about like Napier. So how are those two schools competing this cycle? They are not top 10 but their classes still have room to add so they are not done. I'm curious if they established a large recruiting staff as did we. 2025 All Teams Football Recruiting Team Rankings
I like Napier and want him for another year no matter the record next year because I do think he is building something that will eventually equate to wins and competing for championships. That said, everything depends on the big donors, those people footing a majority of the bill both to the UAA and the NIL collective. If and when they decide that Napier needs to go, he will go. I hope they have the intestinal fortitude and wallets to weather it if next season doesn't show some kind of improvement. Its pretty easy as fans to preach patience (I do it all the time), but not sure how I would feel about it being in their shoes. Again, I have ZERO desire for Napier to be shown the door even if 2024/2025 is a 4 win season......I just hope the 'giving people' feel the same way.
We had our best class last year since a long time ago. It’s July and there’s no problem recruitingwise.
2 classes ago we had our best per player avg since the vaunted 2010 class, and that year we landed all of our best players from that class in July. Some of which are becoming the best players on the team. 4 *(WR) Aidan Mizell 4**(WR) Eugene Wilson l1 4 *(DE) T.J.Searcy 4*(RB) Treyaun Webb 4*(CB) Ja'Keem Jackson 4*(S) Jordan Castell 4*(WR) Andy Jean Not sure where this narrative came from that we have to have 80% of our class filled 5+ months away from EARLY signing day or it's a dumpster fire. It seems like with every inch of success we get we keep raising the expectations and shortening the time frame to achieve it.
Players from that list are sophomores and are critical to our success. That’s a lot to ask of second year players but it’s what we’ve got. We picked up some players in front of them in the portal to give them some time to develop but we still need them to grow up fast.
I believe their police department disbanded like 10 years ago. They got bad press for their practices and an investigation was launched. No longer a speed trap despite the constant string of speed changes through that little stretch of 301.
Lol Ford Exploder . Crazy fact Many years ago when the government did the "cash for clunkers" thing where they paid you to turn in your old beater...... the Ford Explorer of different years ('95-'03) was like 5 of the top 8 vehicles traded in.
