It sucks but it’s just the way it is. You have to pay your kids market value. I wouldn’t be surprised if we’ve had to up a few of our kids payments, but I’m glad it has not been done in the public and behind closed doors. It seemed are 25 stars on signing day. We’re slow to sign and probably got some extra money because of other offers, but at least we didn’t have to hear about it on social media
I agree 100%, but there is the fact that they were in such comfortable leads in so many games they were able to play more second and third team players. And in the case of at least one game they played EVERYONE but the water boy. I guess that’s a byproduct of being really good and really loaded with talent.
That's the point. They reload each year enough to get leads and play their freshmen whobare uber talented to begin with. Ive been the biggest complainer here for years about how bama and Georgia dominated football and it wasn't through their head coaches personalities or some next level scheming on the field. Been buying their rosters for years
And yet the media slobber all over the GOAT Saban because of his "coaching" skills. Of course in our society cheating as much as humanly possible and being untouchable are primo qualifications of being the GOAT.
Same as it ever was- When Pell told a room full of sports writers that he was paid while playing at Bama under Bryant they all started looking at the ceiling, clearing their throats and ignored every word.
He used the end of the transfer portal window to perfection to extort his new NIL. He'll coach for Oklahoma State some day.
I actually thought we were at the top of this category... but maybe we played more actual (freshman) players?
