This has to be a good look for Florida Football NIL! Especially after that QB fiasco of last year.

I won't even post it but some other site screenshotted some random "Gator fan" who was mad that he was able to buy his mom a house with NIL. People take the bait and now you have a negative story gaining traction. Also, dame situation with lagway. One rumor on a board that he is leaving and idiots go crazy.

There is a concerted effort to derail any momentum we gain. It may be just the usual sports idiots but I won't be surprised to find schools and media pages are now involved in concerted attacks. Social media is a cesspool

I've thought this for years. It wouldn't take too many Nolies posing as Gators on social media to spew out misinformation that gets picked up by unsophisticated social media users.

I saw the video and few others he has on his youtube channel, and had some thoughts. Thought about it for a bit and just didnt see how I could post some thoughts without someone ultimately trying to put a negative spin on it...so just decided to say nothing.

He was a talent I really wanted the Gators to get, and was all too happy when it eventually worked out that way!

I didn't see any videos. Just posts citing one comment here and there. It's just crazy that any anonymous random person can throw an idea in the atmosphere and it can take a life of its own. Stories running with single sentence forum posts as the source....

To me while I understand why he did the videos, he's a youngman happy with where life has put him at the moment. Generally in my mind I wished he hadn't publically posted them, because I could see the writing on the wall and where the buzzards on social media would attempt to take it to start a feeding freenzy!

Social Media certainly has it's down side.
It has revealed ALOT of folks are pissed off about many things.
Gee you would think on a College Football forum things would be a bit more uplifiting.
(and I acknowledge my thinking is WRONG).

Probably can pay a few grand to get hundreds of accounts to post crap and misinfo for a year.

AI will be even cheaper soon and will be a fog of crap so thick people might even log off.

    HAHA nah way!!

I'm sure those same people cheered when UGA's QB, Carson Beck, got HIMSELF a $270,000 Lamborghini with his NIL money.

The people bemoaning other people and how they spend their own money ARE jealously dumb. It's legal and it's here to stay. And even though I still don't like much about the way the NIL came about... I have accepted that this is not going to change.

You don’t have to pay back NIL you receive from any program, as can’t be provided as inducement to sign. He left when his DL coach went to LSU

rather a player by his Mom a house than take a picture with his new $270,000 car.

He actually posted another video of him making a car purchase too, thing is before showing what he bought...he pointed out all the sports cars he'd like to have one day, but said right now I cant afford that...and then swings the camera to the car he did buy...... The University ought to provide a program to help these kids with money, particularly as it relates to coming into large sums of money, as well as the pro's and con's of social media exposure.

And people actually thought these guys were getting 5000 bucks in a McDonald’s bag. How many people accepted $3 million to come back? it’s $1 billion business and people think we are talking about peanuts

Only the incredibly naive or the purposely obtuse didn't believe this was going on all over college football, particularly the last two decades when the NCAA decided to get out of the business of enforcement. It was the seedy, sleazy, wild, wild, West and the only thing that has changed now is that it's bigger $$ and is out in the open.

it would be the right thing to do. Many of these guys will make several hundred thousand dollars or few to several million while in college. Even a couple hundred thousand dollars could give somebody a very good start on life as a young man. Pissing away the only chunk of money you ever generate in your life and then having to work blue-collar for the rest of your life hurts pretty bad.

Buying a house for mom is a great decision. The money you spend on dirt never goes away like expensive cars do
