Man, is that Mcafee guy a babbling self-loving idiot. Cannot stand listening to one word of his nonsense. He does his best to dominate every show he's on with his drivel. At least they nixed his tank-top. Since ESPN is so desperate to dump broadcasters to become financially viable, he should be a prime target.

He has a huge following so that’s why ESPN signed him. It’s all about bringing in new fans so that may be the disconnect. I’m not a big fan either.

He’s one of the reasons they’re in such a crunch. They gave him something stupid like $15 million/ year. I’d much rather have 5 guys like David Pollock, Steve young and jj Reddick that they got rid of at $3mil each

I don't like to watch those shows. Too much hot air and too many commercials. It sounds like I'm not missing anything.

I didn't realize Pollock was gone. One less Georgia homer, I guess.

I'd rather have ZERO guys like David Pollock. (shudder)

I loathe Georgia and have a long memory. Still remember him pulling our lineman down on top of him while we got the flag however he was a pretty fair commentator. He got shut down and cut off on one segment for being too honest about how colleges recruit. I always liked him after his playing days were over, as much as a Gator can anyway.

They didn’t give him $15M for game day. He’s paid for his weekday afternoon show. He’s a huge asset for ESPN.

I like how he’s selfmade. He bet on himself by starting a Youtube show; he won. Well done, Pat. Much respect.

Nah. None of em. SEC would go for Duke/UNC first and foremost. Maybe Virginia

His schtick got old really quickly for me. Like in seconds. Apparently, plenty of fans are lapping it up, though.

I actually liked him. Don't recall him being a homer at all.

As I recall Dave came from Shilo hs as a 3*, with a player profile very similar to current University of Florida player Jack Pyburn. his relentless style of play compounded by his All-American personality won the admiration of many! I for one never had a issue with his contributions at ESPN, and was disappointed when the decision was made by ESPN to let him go.

I don't know... he has energy, and he seems to be the least "homer" guy on that set. On the other hand I see maybe 10 minutes (max) of that debauchery of sport casting... so he hasn't had the time to irritate me. Lol.

Couldn’t agree more. He’s entertaining for a few moments but the act grows old. The guys you mentioned above were solid.

They can drop McAfee as far as I’m concerned.
