No the NIL talks were started when the O’Bannon brothers sued EA SPORTS for their likeness being in March Madness and not getting any royalties.

I like the SEC. FSU, Clemson, Miami would all gladly be in the SEC today given the state of affairs.

He sold the SEC to ESPN for ten years, and the B1G is going to get more cash per team while broadcasting their sports on 3 different networks... Sankey got owned by ESPN... or is working for ESPN's pleasure. Either way... he is NOT a very forward thinking negotiator.

When Pell was here it was Orange everyday. That's when we went to Orange jerseys, the Pell era.

Trying to understand the correlation between determining they're employees and then right to the need for them to be unionized?........ Who went to NLRB to initiate the NLRB's involvement? How do they over look the student athelete role, as well as the benefit of a free academic education?

What about students that participate in research projects, that lead to huge financial benefits for the University? Without some context on that Tweet, leaves me with many more questions than answers......

My single biggest problem with the SEC is they don’t like us, and will screw us at any opportunity. Back-stabbing hypocrites have a history of doing that, from Birmingham to their shitty refs. We’re charter members who have never belonged to their good ole boy club. Screw the SEC.

About that 82 game vs USC...My first week of college at Furman in SC.
MY SI comes in the mail to my new college address and who is on the cover...I never even thought about UF in high school while in SC.
But I guess it was prophetic for me because I was a Gator by the next September and was there for the Miami beatdown.

Believe it or not, the Gators had alternate orange jerseys in the early 60s although the primary was blue, and stayed blue all the way till Pell started. He coached at Clemson prior to UF and apparently liked the orange so it stayed our primary home color through Hall’s tenure until Spurrier got here. He immediately went back to the blue.

    Thank you HBC….thank you!

that’s a pretty good description of why many of us do not watch the NFL and why we’re so pissed of what it’s happened to college football I’m in between your age and some of these older guys that actually got to see the old-school football.

Yes, I think he’s done well for the SEC but nobody gives a shit about the gators. We are just lucky to be in the league without their support,
