For last year, not only did the B10 champ beat the SEC champ in the semifinals, but a future B10 team beat a future SEC team in the other semifinals. There’s gonna be a lot of that type of competition between the two conferences moving forward.

Next year both the SEC and B10 add significant teams. The B10 even more so than the SEC. It’s crazy early for 2024 predictions, but it looks like more of the same. The top 4 going into spring would be something like Georgia, Texas, Ohio St and Oregon. 2-SEC & 2-B10 teams.

Long range, I agree with your scenario. We’ll see.

I attended that game. I remember a banner being hauled by a prop type airplane said: “Trojans can’t hold our Peace”. It was referencing our QB Wayne Peace.

I think there was one on Archer Rd. during my time here near the old Butler plaza....its been gone for decades. Additionally they opened on in a new Publix plaza down near 34th and Williston Rd., ~ 15 years ago but that one closed as well.

I thought there was one where the Gumby’s is a long time ago, but that may have always been court of heros. I don’t remember either of those other locations. I believe you though. Only one I ever remember going to is the one near GHS, that’s still there. Still no credit cards, and now no straws either! Lol

i wasn’t even born when this game occurred but looking at that picture man….the stadium, the fans signs, the jerseys, the heat….i can’t word it right but everything in that picture just looks……so pure and simple.

i wish i got to experience a time where you went to a stadium and it was just a pure football game; none of the commercialize theatrics that corporations have shoehorned themselves into.

I’ve always known everything. I just change my mind with new info and it’s ok. Yea, I don’t think bad about 18-year old me and the crap I did. It’s a waste of energy. I can’t imagine being 18-year old me with millions thrown at me. I would’ve been a bigger idiot for sure.

I’ve thought Sankey’s done well positioning us for the next round of expansion in getting OU and Texas.

So they just go to practice to show off to scouts and then not play in the game? Wow…these senior bowls will not be in business much longer if they can’t get these guys to participate. Who’s gonna watch and ESPN’s not going to pay crap.
