Gainesville has a very small sliver of your average fans that could be dropping 20-100 a month. Get the jehovah eitness guys involved, they find them

That isn’t how it works. It may be fun to say, but it isn’t how it works.

But football has to take care of pretty much all of the other athletic programs.

That’s where the athletes are, so that’s where the events are. They probably aren’t going to shuttle them around the country to do engagements like the coaches do in the offseason. Would be hard to do during the season because at away games, schedules are so tight. They do have FV stuff at the team hotels. I saw them in Omaha.

You can see it however you like it, but this is the wild wild west. That the UAA is not handling NIL is prudent, not problematic. None of us has any idea how this will all shake out, so there may be a reason the current setup is in place. Also, there is only so much money the boosters have, whether it goes to the UAA or the collective. Can they give more? Sure, but at some point you get to the point where you aren't willing to give more. He is a booster, so I'm not sure why you are labeling his post as an excuse for not spending money. He is spending his money and is asking others to spend theirs, even small amounts. And if you're not helping, stop complaining. Simple.

Now if you want to say that our collective has done a poor job with fund raising, I would wholeheartedly agree with you. I think they should be doing more to fund raise. We need more fans 'invested' in our team.

Heck, it could be as simple as a Go Fund Me campaign. They could kick off the campaign at the O&B game and end it when the season is over. Set a goal of $10m with all proceeds going to the collective.

Same reason it’s your responsibility to fund people’s ebt cards. It’s just the way it is.

The athletic dept has an obligation to all the sports they oversee, just like you have an obligation to pay taxes.

They aren’t obligated to use football money. They collect it all from the fans and do as they wish. As long as it keeps flowing, why would they change.

I wonder how his teammates view him? Do they think of him as a bad luck mascot that won't go away.

Right. It’s way it is. All I see is more spending right now, not less. If you want to stop spending and stop watching, that’s your right. Probably not going to change anything though.
