Definitely. FSU dirty environment while he was there and A&M gravitated towards that when he was employed there. Huge red flags as far as I’m concerned.
If not off field issues or dirty play, but bagmen and the like, I consider that dirty part a positive. most likely helping to manage the roster, NIL, etc.
I agree, spike, that it would be nice to have someone handle NIL but this guy was at FSU during some its nastiest times before NIL was forced on college athletics. In fact, I think before he was hired at A&M. Did he leave A&M in better shape than he found it? I don’t know, but I bet there has been damage to the culture there. He has been around Jimbo too long, spike. My Daddy used to say “you lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas”.
You look at them like that side by side and it really is a nice group. Incredible change from last year (especially considering the injuries). There is also a nice spread in experience as well now, even though our best ones are probably the three youngest.
