If you're going to bellyache and piss yourself over transfers, don't make things up to power whine about.

Your hyper negative hot takes are just so petulant. Actually do a little analysis, then evaluate the analysis. That's sports message board 101... But, if you just want to spew hateful hot takes, don't get your panties in a wad when you get unfavorable responces.

 

Do your own home work. Look at A&M, FL St, Georgia, Ohio St, K St, NC St and bunch of others... It's portal maddness for everybody.

Your "pointing" something out then being hypernegative about it, without perpective, is just a power whiners hot take.

When you actually want to analyze a situation or team position, like I did with the thread I started about the teams OTs, then there's good message board discusions. But, just throwing up hot takes pissin' and moaning about something is a power whiners folly.

 

My question/concern is a reasonable one. Dismissing it as "hypernegative" isn't answering the question.

I'll state it one more time. This time, pay closer attention to what I'm asking without being demeaning and creating a straw man argument against who you think I am and what you assume my intentions are. And if you can respond without name calling, I'll even give you a shiny trophy in response, whether I agree with you or not.

Last time...I'm aware good teams are losing players. Some teams are losing LOTS of them. But other than teams with head coaching changes (where exodus is expected - see aTm), can you think of another P5 team that has lost FIVE STARTERS? I'm legitimately asking. Maybe there are many. I don't know about KSU or NCState, but the other teams you listed did NOT.

If it's a common occurrence, I stand corrected, and it is less concerning. If it is pretty darn rare, then it is okay, as a fan, to be concerned. Especially given what happened to our recruiting class in the last month. It's a terrible combination from a talent/depth standpoint. And a terrible look for our program and begs the question "what the heck is going on?" Do we have a culture problem? I don't think we do. I think our players have an experience that is way above average - facilities, support, etc. Is it all about money and others outbid us? Is it the (relative) lack of winning? Or maybe a combination of these?

Solid post!! I like Billy a ton but it seems like for us it’s always “1 step up 2 Steps back”. Hill is a very tough replacement imo.

One thing I would really like to know is why are you power whiners so obsessed with being a victim? It's amazing how all of you wallow in your victim status.

 

Losing average players off a team that's on 3 straight losing seasons is now the part of the CFB landscape. You can't on one hand be angry we're terrible, but otoh want to keep kids that WOULDN'T start for ANY playoff team. I hate saying that but it's the stone cold truth. Napier & staff have to make cut throat changes in a cut throat sport.

I've never blocked a poster in 25 years of reading these boards. But repeated, sanctimonius responses like yours make it hard for me to continue that streak. Maybe you'll do me the favor so I won't have to.

 

How do I get my “panties in a wad” as you so elegantly stated? Who talks like that? I speak in facts, whereas you sunshine pumpers talk out your a$$. White, Tarquin and Micah all OL starters that left in the portal. Braun was not a starter and started for Arkansas the following year as 2nd team all SEC guard. Mincey started for TN after transfer rather than play for coaching staff. Farmer left for KY, another for CO, another for NC State. The facts are this is not happening on the OL at other top programs. 3 of our kids on Defense left for Mizzou which is going in the opposite direction than UF. Another fact. Billy’s record in first 2 years is one of the worst of any Gator head football coach. Worse than Zook, Mullen, Mac, Muschamp, Hall, Spurrier, Meyer, …. Another fact. Billy’s 3 recruiting classes lower than Mullen. Fact. Please provide facts rather than going on emotional rants

 

Valid point. Although I do think ETN will prob start for the best team in the country next year. As will Princely, and Mizzou may indeed be a playoff team next year. The other guys, who knows.

My counter to that is that your point is right IF our coaches wanted those guys to move on. I know it is conjecture, but I'm assuming those 5 players were WANTED by our coaches. If that premise is true, then I am concerned. Because I'd like to know why we couldn't keep them. If the coaches did NOT want them to stay, I am actually fine with that because the coaches probably have reasons that make sense.

Does that make sense?

 

I wouldn't waste your time trying to reason with that one. He's already figured you out. Doesn't matter WHAT points you make. You're negative and negative posters are whiners who post negative things. Not true fans. A victim, even.

If ETN starts it'll just be a jab to CBN, they still have a ridiculous RB room & brought in 3 kids in this class. Imho he wasn't willing to put his blood, sweat, & tears into building a foundation. Jmho

Word is Princely wants stats, he believes that'll get him drafted. Armstrong runs a similar sceme as Kirby where the DL is focused on suffocating you instead of straight rushing the QB & PU wasn't keen on that. He was also constantly in twitter/X spats with fans. So not a big loss imho

I totally understand your take on the "IF" the coaches wanted them to stay it's a bad look. But from everything I've watched & read these will be additions by subtraction and every coach & admin were not blindsided. Again except for ETN.

If someone actually wanted to make a point about, lets say, the OL. One would evaluate the current fifteen (15) man spring roster and project if CBN needs to add anything from the portal?!?

You definitely win the award for most personal attacks and insults. Apparently, we dont give timeouts for that anymore. You definitely have a gift for name calling. Better even than @Skink. But he's actually grown on me, and is a pretty likeable poster.

Maybe sometime you'll respond to the substance of an argument instead of ad hominen attacks. Or, on the other hand, you probably won't. But congrats on your OL post that you keep referencing. It was very good and, apparently, justifies your lack of reason in responses to all other posts.
