I don’t disagree. I’ve said it on a few other posts now, but it’s no big secret that all the teams who everyone long suspected of paying players before NIL came about, miraculously have been the best at taking advantage of it now that it’s legal. The teams that always played in the muck, continue to do so.
Hill is not an irreplaceable player. He’s a quality DB but he was hardly lighting it up. Too much overreaction over his departure.
What is the UF equivalent to delusioNOLE? Cause I would use it here. The mental gymnastics to believe programs like UGA, Ole Miss, and potentially Bama are taking players that we will just get upgrades for is impressive.
I laughed too, we lack talent and depth while simultaneously having all SEC players just waiting to take these spots.
Oh was Hill on the cusp of being All SEC? That’s LOL. The guy can’t catch a cold but was a pretty good tackler. I’m willing to bet we have found or will find someone just as good as Hill.
Hardly delusional. 1 and 23 are real losses, the rest are whatever. Sounds like Ole Miss was willing to overpay for 1, is what it is. We don't yet know where 23 will land, and we don't yet know what we'll end up with out of the portal. I suspect we will be improved overall between portal and youth getting better.
If our coaches don’t want to teach tackling, let our players go and replace them with S Alabama / W Kentucky players that know how to tackle.
The chances of him landing at Bama, in my opinion are remote. I think best case for him would be somewhere like Missouri, Kentucky, Texas Tech or some similar school. But to answer your question, if he did land at Bama then the people who say it was a mistake to let him go were closer to being right than the people who said it didn't matter that he left.
It would depend on if he starts for them or is just providing some depth while sitting the bench. We can't know yet.
Look at this he turnover Hill has seen since committing to UF. Three DCs, 4 secondary coaches if you count this one. No stability, lot of system changes and no opportunity to develop skill in one singular system. Bama does not have a change in Saban’s system.
No gymnastics whatsoever. Clearly you overvalue the guys we lost. You think those blue chip recruits from our last two classes are going to ride the bench forever?
