I think the Buffs are more interested in Social Media attention than anything else. Is there a meeting they don't film and post? This military style of coaching doesn't appeal to everyone.
If Brown is here on a football scholarship you can rest assured he will be at spring football practice
IMO this is the perfect add. A veteran guy who can give snaps immediately and a solid option if top 2 get hurt, but won't clog up the roster in the future and hurt recruiting. No young or star RB transfers in with 2 established guys assured to be ahead of him
I haven't heard of him other that what is posted above. Is he considered a good prospect? Sounds like a journeyman. I don't get warm fuzzies when we are the 4th school a player attends.
Loved their defense, hated Tark and liked Foreman even though he was a Cane. Remember being a kid and fascinated that their stadium had both teams on the same sideline, each on one side of the 50 because of the stadium alignment for baseball. Home plate is noted in the Mall of Americas
To the same point... Why would a guy with limited time left come here to ride the pine. Chances are this is his last football left. I would think he would want to be on the field. Edit: Additionally, Johnson is no newb. Guy has two full seasons under his belt now. Etienne one full season. Its not like these guys dont have experience. That being said, not sure what kind of locker room leadership they are able to bring?
Still have one of my most prized possessions as a kid, home purple Chuck Foreman #44 jersey. Metropolitan Stadium was one of most unique set-ups ever. Very little space between the two teams too. I would imagine that got very interesting when things got heated on the field. Still can’t believe the Vikings didn’t win one of those SB’s back then, sigh..
IF he were coming here I would assume he is under the impression that it will at least be a 3 back rotation, but I agree he would likely get more carries elsewhere. And of course the NIL factor is always there
We rag on Ruiz but he appears to have been spot on when he said UF was promising money to recruits that they couldn’t pay.
based off what? Rashada situation?? because we haven’t seen or heard of any other commit in 2 years mention not being compensated by an NIL opportunity company.
Yep. And Ruiz will use this against us in every head to head battle with a kid. He can claim his checks won't bounce because he IS the collective.
Asa probably doesn’t have many options and considering we gave our 3rd ball carrier a lot of snaps/touches last year (whether it was Nayquan or AR), I can see why he may land at UF. I think it helps too in not having to thrust Webb into RB3 from day 1 and if they want to redshirt him to create class separation, I don’t mind lol
I'm not sure I'd trust this smarmy little twerp as far as I can throw him. It's also worth noting that he was speaking in "hypotheticals" and never actually claimed that this was what actually happened. Smells like self-serving BS to me.
