I think right now we look really good at running back and have to be better at O Line.
Johnson- durable, tough runner that is also an excellent blocker.

Webb- had an excellent freshman year averaging over 6 yards a carry. I think he’s totally ready to step in the number two role See him getting 10 cares of game next year easily.

Carroll- remains to be seen but Everyone that watched him said that he was a steal for us. Could be an excellent Third down back with his ability to catch out of the backfield.

Daniels- Has a very bright future, but you probably just play in four games next year and be redshirted… Let’s hope for him to play more with me that we have injuries. Upside is very high.

O line has everyone back. We just need to find a left tackle. I think Leonard, Slaughter, and Maccuzza Will form a very solid nucleus. And sliding Austin barber back to right tackle could be huge. I’m assuming something here when I say Slaughter at center as I think he has much more upside than Kingsley and is overall better you also have some death in Damion, George AT guard. It’s possible Waites Could be our left tackle, but I’d like to see us bring someone in.

You can go back through all.my post of this subject and you will not find one time I've said ETN isn't good, sucks, or whatever, I like the kids thought he complemented trell well. I also notice the carries were pretty evenly distributed through out the season. As bobbybaker86 said a couple games in the season hindered both of their production somewhat but I'm simply posting facts the the poster who said montrell is was terrible and not even an SEC back.

Well you posted trell.longest was a 8nyarder vs. Mcneese. Thats a bit ingenious by adding"to the house" as if ripping off a 48 yards run and avg 9.1 yards a rush vs UGA is something to scoff at.

I specifically said to the house in my original post, was countered with 30+ yard runs by Shane and now by you with the UGA stats yet again. All of these things can be and are true. Again, jumping to conclusions that I'm scoffing at his performance vs UGA, I literally haven't said anything about it, good, bad, or indifferent. So, any reaction or take I have in regards to it are completely fabricated in your head.

Chargers assistant Will Harris as the Gators next Defensive Backs coach, per Zach Abolverdi/On3.

Harris will work his final game with the Chargers on Sunday and then begin at UF next week. See his resume below

Harris has had most of his success at the college level, most notably, as a DB's coach at Washington (2018-21), where his unit

I agree with this, but I think you missed my point. I was speaking about the people dumping on Montrell. He is not going anywhere, and will be in the orange and blue next year. I see no reason for some people to try to tear him down.

Yes, I was only referring to the ETN criticism being recent. My eyes don't see about Montrell what some of those posters see. I believe he wouldn't keep a team from winning an SEC ship if he was their QB1, and he has handled himself in a good way and has stayed durable too. No need for any Gator to trivialize his contributions.

    EDIT: RB1

You’re right. I haven’t seen him say anything about that. I just assumed he was coming back because he didn’t declare for the portal. I haven’t heard anything about the NFL.

I hope he comes back. I enjoy seeing him play.

I really think this is a sound, well-reasoned post. Of course, transfers out from this group changes the dynamic but as it stands if we can get a high-quality LT, that really allows for a much better starting 5 with people at their more natural position. Plus another year of maturity in the OL. I get losing etn hurts but if we can get the above from the OL I think the backs we have would do quite well.

He’s coming back. if he stays healthy he’s going over 3000 yards as a college runner and that’s pretty impressive. I just hope we’re able to get him 16 or 17 carries every game next year and then Web and Carol pick up the other 10 or 12

I like them both and think they complement each other well and that’s not a bad thing at all. Both have strengths the other doesn’t have as well as weaknesses.

And this DIRECTLY can be contributed to trell being able to pass protect therefore you have choices to confuse the defense. If ETN is in on 3rd, you’re either getting a pressure/sack or he’s running it.
