Here’s a fun thing to do this time of year: Read any take on this board and see where you think the poster currently sits in 5 stages of grief. Go Gators!
A year older too...we were such a young team this year, think Pearsall was our only SR major contributor? Hopefully most of the guys stick around, losing McLellan and Eguakan hurt us on the LOS which is where we weren't that strong to start with so need to shore that up with the portal.
There is nothing wrong with being critical of things that happened on the field. The issue is definitely that they are sitting in a silo full of trolls (both UF and rivals) and just filling the space with negativity. They spend most of their time just looking for things to complain about. People with Twitter brain just like being angry on Twitter and forums.
Damn didn't even know Kingsley went to the draft. Maybe someone takes the chance because he looked like 7th round at best to me. Slaughter should improve this offseason but yeah maybe an experienced 1 year guy would be the move at center.
It affects every team. Can you imagine that the QB1 at a perennial powerhouse like Ohio State would elect to transfer before the bowl game just a few years ago? It’ll be even more interesting to see what players will do even if their team was playing for the National Championship.
On a certain level the kids need to do what is best for them. For a running back limiting the number of carries and hits would seem to be a goal especially if they have shown enough to make a team.
He was injured when his blocker messed up and (I guess) thought he was supposed to go out for a pass. I agree that while Etienne is super talented he is unlikely to improve his station at a playoff contending team. We don't really know what's going on behind the scenes so it's purely speculation but he's good enough to get recruited by a top team and I do think he might end up being a pure backup if he takes the bait. Hopefully he sticks with his teammates.
Twitter is a magnet for negativity, in fact, most social media is because of engagement driven by algorithms. Using twitter as a base to judge general fan sentiment is a fools errand. Irregardless, the Gator "influencers" I tend to follow or watch are reasonable with highs and lows. Things are pretty low right now.
