Grabbing two guys early will have nothing to do with overall numbers??? Are they going to be invisible or somehow magically not count against the 85 limit because we grabbed them early? Ludicrous. Every take means a slot is gone and that's somebody you can't take later on. Numbers this year are VERY tight, so I darn sure don't want them rushing out and grabbing somebody just to make fans feel better.

I expect junior is just the label for where they stand with eligibility. Doesn't mean they couldn't earn their degree after 3 or 4 years. RS Juniors are 4 years out of HS and considering how many credits kids are bringing in out of HS nowadays, earning their degree before their eligibility is up is pretty common. Probably even more common for those with extra covid year.

Sat out freshman year, extra Covid year gives you 6 year. Med redshirt gives some 7

It does not say anywhere that he is a RS Junior. That said, even if he is this means he has not even finished the first semester of his Senior year which does not make him a graduate. His claims are all based upon one blog site. When you google the three players I mentioned there is nothing showing they are grad transfers. The four I did not list out of the seven I looked at do show they are grad transfers.

Yep if he graduated six years ago. However, Ruiz graduated from Osceola High School in the spring of 2020.

You're missing the point. Being listed as a JR does not correlate to where the individual is in regards to his academic status. Only his athletic eligibility status.

FYI his Mr Ruiz's Linkedin page says he is an undergraduate due to graduate in 2025 with a Zoology degree. Like I said, there are multiple sources that show the blog that was sighted by Shane is a tad dubious regarding the grad transfer list he provided.

You posited a theory. I am merely providing the proof behind what I stated that Mr. Ruiz does not qualify as a Grad Transfer. Neither do the other two I mentioned who have academic status easily found. The fact they are not Grad Transfers does not prevent them from going into the portal but it does prevent us from going after them right now as was claimed by the person incorrectly claiming they are grad transfers.

Just curious, I can't see who you're responding too. I might have "ignored" them previously... Can you tell me who it is? Thanks...

I don’t disagree with you. Some graduate early and remember with that Covid year they are not juniors. This year number of graduate transfers is surprising. Those are the guys that we can talk too early

You’re forgetting Covid years. Your saying Farrell a recruiting guy is incorrect essentially, not me.

Thank you, I tried to explain it, especially with the Covid year. Some forget we have 22-23 year old juniors athletically now due to Covid

Again, it’s possible to be a junior athletically and have graduated for numerous reasons such as Redshirt, Covid, etc.

So if you think it’s wrong, your saying Farrell is wrong and wrong about several guys right?
