Points.... great, the. Its all.about just winning.like it should be. But if so Then why do people bitch when we beat a team but it "didn't look exciting" or "its 3 yards and a cloud of dust" or like when we had more points on the score board against Charlotte and still only gave up 7 points, we didn't throw it enough, or rush it enough. Either you like stats or only care for the W/L results. But can't really say its about one then criticize the other. As I posted earlier, we are tied for 48th overall and 6th SEC In total offense (yards) We are 44th in the nation in Off TD's, (41) and tied 6th in the SEC behind LSU(73) UGA (57) Ole miss(51) Bama(50) Mizzou(46) Tenn(41). Which are all considered pretty damn good offensive teams. People act like Texas and Sark are a great offensive team at 1st glance but they've scored a measly 2 TD'S more than UF.
I never said the offense was bad, I said above average, which is what it is. It has room to improve. That was the whole point before this back and forward. Does D have room to improve, yes, it almost can't get worse. (sure hope that statement doesn't bite me in the backside for a 3rd consecutive season)
Total offense is a poor metric because it is highly influenced by pace, strength of opposing defense, and even strength of your own defense. Efficiency controls for these factors. Using ESPN’s efficiency metric, Florida actually ranks 26th in the nation on offense. %{year} %{view} College Football Power Index - ESPN
I like this.. but Napier is the recruiting ingenious... And the other coaches are the instructors... That is what the CEO does...
