When I look for a great high school QB to be the next big thing in college, I look at how the QB performs under stressful conditions, under duress, and how he plays under massive pressure. The skill or rankings of the opposing teams means next to nothing, it's how you react to adverse conditions that separates the good QBs from the great QBs... regardless of some mythical national high school football ranking.
@apkgator remember how worked up I was over giving a scholly to Rocco Underwood 3(?) years ago? Well i gotta give him props because I haven’t seen a bad snap from him yet
He's been solid....and is very good at getting downfield in punt coverage. But he actually had a bad snap vs So Car that Crawshaw did a great job of getting off the ground and getting set before the field goal
Herschel Walker played in 1A in Georgia, and clearly the level of his competition didn't mean that's the only reason he was considered special in high school. So, Lagway doing what he should be doing against competition that isn't strong just shows that he's capable, and even against inferior competition he doesn't get sloppy and still plays like he's going against the highest levels of competition. Regardless of his competition, he still shows fundamental soundness and that's an great indicator of his potential in the future.
What I really like about Lagway is his leadership qualities and take charge attitude. This, along with his obvious physical talent really makes him a special recruit. Granted, I only have the reports from his visits here to form this opinion of him but, just the look of this young man exudes confidence.. Proof is in the pudding, but I am hopeful my feelings are on target.
He’s okay. He has 9 total catches in 6 games this season. Had 33 last year and 14 as a freshman. Hasn’t done a whole lot thus far.
well, to be devils advocate, I can’t remember bad snaps from the prior non scholarship long snappers either.
Raiola's numbers are not as good as they look. He has a lot of Ohio State in them. The 5 yard pass that a kid runs 40 yards. Also, the team he plays for has D1 talent everywhere. They could probably beat a few 1AA teams.
oh wow that can be a huge blow to em cause Jacurri Brown is NOT ready and they want to redshirt him. Would be turning to true freshman Emory Williams
I thought he was coming on for us last year. At least I seem to remember his name getting called often. We could use numbers like that
