If he was a great coach they would have won an east title by now, or at least put together a string of 10 win seasons. Look what Spurrier did at usce, which is a comparable program. His annual west opponent is Miss state. He's beat FL which to their fanbase is good enough to be around forever. If he wins 7-8 games he will eventually get a statue built there. Why would he go anywhere else? If he goes to a lateral school in the conference they will expect more wins and he won't produce if he goes to a bigger job he will never meet expectations. He is right in his sweet spot if you ask me. He's been there 11 years already, tell me another program that would be good with a .542 winning percentage? If he wanted to leave I think he missed his window of opportunity, he's in that PJ Fleck or Lane Kiffen range of coaches. They all had a moment in time where it looked like they could land a big job, but I think they all missed their window of taking a bigger job because their programs have leveled off.
The only people the amount matters to are the people writing and the people receiving the checks. We only need to know where they are playing football which tells us all we need to know.
Thanks, Bobby. I knew he was behind all his NIL deals... Edited: Who negative reps the freaking truth? Someone from Carolina?
