Staff been aware of this and I also remembered a tweet from Adarius from the summer where he did state that he was going to take visits to other school and see games. I'll admit it's a little concerning though. Amir Johnson and Jemonte Waller visited Auburn last week, Wardell Mack has always said he still will take visits, Nasir Johnson visiting UGA this weekend, and now Hayes visiting Miami this weekend. Then again, kids from other schools visit UF even though they're committed so I guess it's all good
Just in case there was any doubt with Adarius Hayes visiting Miami, from his own mouth. FYI, he plays football about 10 minutes from where I live. He has been all gator, all the time since before last year. It would take something ridiculously crazy to happen for him, not to sign with UF.
We can keep the Wild West and highest bidder league as that’s what we’ve had forever. It’s been gettin old for some time now and finally the general public is seeing it for what it’s been all along. I don’t have too much problem with it I guess because there’s nothing new going on as far as I’m concerned. The stakes just got higher. Bring a Padres fan though, I realize that it hard to win when your not the highest bidder. The best coaching staff in the world can’t make my Padres a perineal power. Just hope for some Cinderella crap once in a while. Then the portal opens up and your best players are gone.
Student athletes have no limits on what they can earn thought the NIL... best for the students and best for the schools, because they don't pay directly... win win.
It's the real world, not ever makes the same... not everyone is worth the same. And the small schools have to invest much more time and money to get to the big-boys level of NIL compensation.
Lived in SanDiego for ten years. Watched Tony Gwynn as a rookie and it was like $8 to sit on the fence in centerfield back then. I would go twice a week when they were in town. Oxzzie Smith was in his last year as a Padre when I first moved there. 82 I believe.
