To be fair, Hayes is probably the biggest knee jerk douche in sports media. 90% of his columns are whiny emotional meltdowns that completely overshoot reality. That tweet is absent of any perspective other than he is just a d!ck.
I thought maybe the scenario would include the big man calling him to service multiple hot women. This dream sounds like a punishment.
Wanne... Yea...right? But what I learned from my friend was an entirely different perspective. Not only was it tough to physically travel to different homes/farms and run those places but the man had to be tremendously mature in dealing with two, three or even four different women AND their children. Heck... many of us have big challenges with just one woman. No way in the world would I want to be married to several! The stories of Mormon men having more than one wife are greatly embellished and fanticized.
As of now.. There are no cupcakes on our schedule. Mabey I'm over reacting, but I'm actually worried about McNeese next week. If it's still a close game in the fourth quarter, I will officially be in panic mode.
Billy’s offense is not designed to put up big points. We are not even sure his coaching staff is capable of playing against and competing with top P5 coaches. May simply be a good lower league coach. Time will tell. 6-8 record to start UF career is amongst the worst all time record in UF football
FTR, Pell started out 0-10-1, due largely to the trainwreck Doug Dickey left behind. I would suggest there a correlation between the two "worst" starts for a new UF HC in the modern era, and the absolutely miserable situations they both inherited from two of the most disastrously failed HCs in UF history.
very possible. Mabey it's because i've been salivating all summer for football to start and what i saw made my jaw drop.
i hear you but “lack of talent” was never something i saw Thursday night. Thursday was coaching and preparation.
It is a sad day when a Sander's coached team looks better prepared to play than UF. Thursday's showing is going to hurt for a long time.
I agree to an extent, and I'm on record stating that BN has to up his game-day coaching dramatically, starting with pre-game preps, substitutions and clock management. And the STs need a dedicated coach like a man lost in the dessert needs a drink. Also, IMHO, Billy's need for a real, big $$, P5 OC and play caller can't possibly be overstated. Frankly, it remains to be seen whether or not BN is able to assess himself and his staff well enough to make the vital adjustments that will have to be made in order to get UF through this gawd-awful rebuild. There is no one that wants to see a man of BN's character succeed at UF more than I do. But nothing is chiseled in stone as to the final outcome of the BN era - except for the fact that UF will give him at least two more years if he continues to recruit well and starts winning more games than he loses. Barring a total melt-down, which I sincerely hope doesn't happen, I think he's got a solid chance to succeed. I feel the frustration we all feel about the bumbling and general ineptitude that reigned Thursday night. Believe me, I get it. I just don't like when people start inferring or outright saying in so many words that BN should be fired one game into his second season during a rebuild for the ages. My post was originally intended to correct a misstatement of fact and offer some historical context to our situation. At this point, Billy ain't even close to being the HC CP was and, in some respects, may never be. Charley was flawed, but he was one helluva FB coach and a great leader of men. On the other hand, Billy is actually reluctant to "buy" players, even when its legal! But despite the Rashada fiasco and the Simmons kid punking out, I'm good with the idea that buying loyalty or real commitment is probably not a great plan. Also, FTR, to my knowledge, Charley didn't actually throw a whole lot of cash around so much as he just went on committing the same casual "KMA" violations that wouldn't have even been taken notice of by the boys in B'ham or the NCAA - if Charley had still been in Tuscaloosa. Big ifs then and now. I suppose.
